I'm in Port Phillip, and they have approved a 10 storey apartment building opposite where I live. It is planned to be built on a 'postage stamp' block in a tiny, narrow street that has six car parking spaces. There is provision for 26 car parks which is the bare minimum, and that is not even an issue you can object over because Port Phillip wants all cars off the roads.Lol try convincing the councils and politicians in the pockets of the developers to do that.
Casey, the Outer West and Docklands etc are like they are because developers have bought the building codes that they wanted.
The development includes two floors of "apartments" measuring 42 square metres (yes 42!). Hopefully it either gets canned in VCAT or scaled right back.
