No... not biased at all.

Both players have had outstanding first years, and they further solidify the argument that 2008 was one of the great drafts. I don't know why you would choose these two players though as they are completely different type players. Hurley will be a gun backman for years to come if thats where you choose to play him. I'm quite happy with our backline though at the moment and i wouldn't swap Jurrah for anyone. He has been one of the shining lights for us in what was a pretty dismal season.

Poll is a bit unfair on young Hurley.

Looks like he could be a good KP prospect, but comparing to him a kid that is doing things on the footy field that are not human is just silly.

Jurrah by a mile.

Liam Jurrah tore holes through the premiership favourites defense today. Would have kicked 8 if Bailey left him in the forward line for the whole game.

Hurley every day of the week, good KPP's don't grow on trees.

A Hurley v. Watts poll would be fairer in 2-3 years time, when I'd expect Watts and Hurley to both be occupying FF spots.

Jurrah is no KPP.

So you voted Hurley cos he is a KPP?

Bizarre.

That logic means you would take someone like James Sellar over Cyril Rioli.

Jurrah will be something not of this earth, well actually he is already. Match winning freak.

And he will be our FF for the next decade, which is a key position.

He is light years better than Hurley.

Stupid poll. Different types of players. Of course Jurrah looks like the better play thus far, and has more scope for improvement, but Hurley is a backman.

Ah no.

I voted Hurley because he is a good KPP. Both have lots of potential but a good big man always beats a good smaller man.

Got to agree.

I don't even know how they can even compare in a poll.

4th quater, game on the line Jurrah is the player who can, no will make the difference to get the win.

Hurley will be a great player but lets not give him the coleman yet.

David Myers. lol.
lol

hmm interesting thought. might have to wait until melbourne actually start winning games to see if your right though.
jurrah is a good player with a few tricks up his sleeve but so are a lot of the aboriginal kids.

hurley was picked as a tall backman and when he proved he was a force to be reckoned with, they moved him up forward and hes even better up there than in the backline

when it comes down to it, would you rather have a flashy small forward or a tall interchangable forward/back who has made an impact in every game hes played in?

Jurrah.

Jurrah loves the MCG- Played there 4 times for 14 goals

Can't wait to see him in finals time :)

Is that great is it?

John Longmire did that in one game. I will let you guess which club he did it against.

Hurley did this against St Kilda and Hawthorn, who has Jurrah done it against?

Seriously Jurrah has some freaky tallent but Hurley is the whole package.

Jurrah is actually 191 cm. Just because he's aboriginal doesn't mean he's a small forward.

Different times, not to mention that that's LJ's overall record at the ground. 3.5 goals a game at the G in your debut season isn't too bad.

Hurley is talented but has not had the same impact as Jurrah this year.

Hurley stood up and won two extremely important games for us against St Kilda and Hawthorn.

He kicked 2 or his 4 goals against the Hawks with his non preferred foot from 50m.

He went forward against the Saints and kicked a vital goal, then went to the other end of the ground and held his ground against St Nick, which is something seasoned veterans have struggled to do this year.

In his first game he toweled held Tredrea, who has looked like the dominant CHF he was a few years back, and held him goalless.

He has made an impact at both ends of the ground, being likened to champions Glen Jakovich as a CHB and Wayne Carey as a CHF. Similarities wouldn't be drawn to greats like that if he hadn't made an impact.

I'm not saying Jurrah hasn't been great, he's going to be a hell of a player, but it's easy to look good when surrounded by mediocrity, especially with the flashy stuff that he does.
