Gaddafi ran Libya very well and helped the Irish in their struggle.

Saddam was a prick but look at the alternative.

Secular arab socialists, even those who are personally religious, are the only people capable of running these highly volatile nations that the French and English drew up.

More importantly, the one thing they don't need is european or anglo involvement.

How dumb can the US be to continue destabilizing the Middle East? What can we say that we've achieved for these people?

Unlike most of em, U.S presidents usually only give the green-light to slaughter 3rd world citizens, rather than their own....Out-of-sight, out-of-mind....Doesn't count then. Too abstract & NIMBY, so no worries.

It also helps loads when you have the western media on your side too....Keeps the image nice n polished in spite of the carnage.

From memory I think the French got rid of him because they wanted a monopoly on Burkina Faso's natural resources.

It's pretty cooked. It makes it very hard to not want the US to collapse and to hope that we could rebuild the world in a better way.
