Mega Thread "I need to vent" thread.

Just returned from having my tooth out (bad timing, couldn’t be avoided).

40 something woman comes out of the surgery ahead of me, goes to the counter to pay. Ignores the taped line to keep her distance and is all over the counter with her hands and arms, and then empties the entire contents of her bag on the counter to find her purse. Unbelievable. The receptionist looked stunned.

old habits die hard and I must admit its difficult to keep 1.5 metres from someone in a shop line...… but I don't think some people are thinking or they have left the real world some time ago and just deal with what's in front of them. You can understand why a simple message like don't go out, is the best way to tell people what to do.

the news.com site continues to be sensationalistic and completely unhelpful and probably would improve the world if it simply disappeared - much like its owner Rupert Murdoch and his family ...

even simple language like referring to "draconian" measures paints gov't efforts in a negative light. It's not just the head that's the cause of the problem, there are dozens of journalist wannabees who are willing to compromise their humanity to fill their pockets..... it's easy to throw stones at the footballers and ironically a number of these articles have appeared on the news.com site.

This is a small and petty vent but it annoys me anyway even though i am probably in the wrong. IF i click a link and the website tells me to disable my Platinum Membership - https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/account/upgrades i will not disable it or ever go back to that website again. So they lose not me.

Someone tell me about the speed of the internet. Not only is mine slow but it varies a lot. One minute i get a decent speed test. Other times, I cant even run the online test.

I guess that means that at least SOME people are staying home and doing the right thing if our third-world broadband network has run out of available bandwidth on your branch, probably yourself and 14 of your neighbours. Be heartened by that

well it ended up being my chrome browser. I had to download a clean version. My only portal to the outside world is this thing. I cant imagine staying at home and doing woodwork and weeding....

i gave myself a haircut this morning with a trimmer and a very small mirror. I think i've got a real talent. I might be able to use it in the future when I walk the highways trying to find a way to buy some food.

I was booked in for a haircut before isolation, but postponed because I just wasn't feeling social on the day (i.e. depression). Regretting it now, my partner offered to do the job, but she's no hairdresser and I've seen what she does to her own hair and I consider her offer a threat against me.

In the meantime, I'm receiving a mass of texts from the salon. One told me that I wouldn't be able to bring a guest to my next appointment, another told me that their hair colour formulas are protected by some sort of strict confidentiality and that they couldn't risk letting people colour their own hair at home. For anyone's info, my hair is the texture and tone of a Steelo pad, perfectly natural.

I have just lost half a tooth and am able to get an appointment with my dentist on Tuesday. I am surprised though not sorry that at around 65 yrs of age he is working through this crisis. I can't imagine an easier means to get the virus.

well i can do the job. I assure you that i have a gift with the clippers. And there's no time needlessly wasted on minute snips and clips. My work is like that of an artist who uses a broad brush. The effect is devastating and will result in a line of suitably spaced heteros, bis, tris, trans, eunuchs and others...to your door.
