The main problem with Christians having a seat at the table is that for some reason, the Christians that make it in to politics are about as unlike Christ as you can get. Ask yourself "What would Jesus do?" and they'll likely do the opposite.

I'd be happy for proper Christians to be part of it. But we need more Bob Maguire types and fewer BA Santamaria types.

It's the politicians who announce that they are Christians are the ones that you are identifying here and should be avoided at all costs.

With changing demographics they are soon going to be actively preventing the Liberals from winning key northwestern Sydney marginals - and that will be a huge problem to them retaining and winning government

and whats the intent of the prayer group? as we saw in washington, Trumps prayer group was a proxy church operation with his nutbagger minister from Florida running the show

even 10 years ago these things used to be people of faith getting together to pray, regardless of church or party they are a part of. now they are political tools for the churches that they are supporting

Groupings of any sort influencing major parties is a blight on democracy. If that party wins, they claim a mandate for the small print items that no one voted for.
