With his one touch and turnover? Superstar.
Not paying attention to Nicoski tonight. 4 touches 1 yellow card. Wannabe tough guy being exposed for what he really is.

One last point, let's not forget that Australia smashed the Irish over there last year. The concept has more issues than just the poor performance of Australia this year.

The trick is, the good players give a **** when they get a free trip to the UK. The fact that the top flight of players didn't turn up when it's a quick drive down the road shows that they really couldn't give two short ****en shits about the concept.
If we want the good players to play, hold it in Ireland every year.

You're right, I thought Nahas was good enough to get 4 touches. Guess he's only good enough to get one :o.

Another superstar shot from Nahas there, a no score :o.
Nicoski and his wannabe tough guy antics is what you should be embarrassed about not blokes who are playing the ball.

brad green? ;)

scrolling over the team sheet... grigg, patfull, douglas, wood. i still would like to know if some of these guys were first choice or second choice after the swans, abletts refused.

Brad Green was one of our best players last year after being almost All Australian. Didn't have a great season this year but would better AFL players in this squad.

As for those guys you mentioned, of course they would have scouted out better players first.

Garry Ablett playing for Australia up at the Gold Coast. That would have been the AFL's dream but that'll never happen. Normally you at least get a few stars. Last year we had Goodes and Swan as two top-liners. This year we had none.

Interesting point. I may look over the team sheets and see if there is a noticeable difference in quality in home and away teams.

What an embarrassing squad... why are 20 year olds like trengove playing? how do u expect ppl to turn up when u submit such a terrible team.

I think its dead, or hold it off for 5 years at least then bring it back hopefully imrpvoed

How funny was the Irish celebrations? "Just cant get enough" lol

had to laugh when the commentator was asking the Irish bloke, Touhy? about being professional an all that at the very same time his team mate dacked him, very funny stuff!

Jimmys Dad shoulda brought up some palm cards.

HHAHAHAHA Jimmys Dad: "Strangely the team that travels usually wins, its probably due to the attraction of a holiday"

Echoing the thoughts of posters on the previous page.

Last years squad had a lot more depth too, outside of Swan and Goodes, you had players like Gibbs, J.Riewoldt, Boyd, Cross, Montagna etc.

Definitely, although Riewoldt was rubbish :p

I would've mentioned Banfield who was awesome, but didn't want to be accused of being biased :p

Also with the whole weaker team when we play at home, I remember in 2008 (last time it was played at home) we had Marc Murphy, Harvey, Boyd, Montagna, Pendlebury, Daisy running around too.

would have been good to see Gray get more game time?? Everytime he was actually on he looked half dangerous

How weird that the Sen radio commentary of this game has been seven seconds infront of the vision on tv all night during the game , yet the presentation of the cup to the players is in sync with the tv.

Point 1 - Most of Ireland is not a part of the UK, and hasn't been for nearly 100 years. Your sense of Geography and History is questionable.

Point 2 - I can see I was wrong about Australian pride.

Point 3 - Cant you guys ever produce a good referee?

Point 4 - Maybe it's just as well that it's already decided not to have an IR Series next year. You need to find a team that knows how to play footy.

Point 5 - Ah heck, this is pointless. Here, have your beloved oval ball back. :footy:

The AFL made a total **** up of the series this year> The picked a poor team - if you want the best to play make a rule that if you want to make the trip to Ireland (NOT THE UK!) you mmake your self available for the home games.

Also be sure to have the second test in Melborne and put a bit of work into the marketing. As I said earlier why not have a decent coach loke Malthouse who did a super job for you last year!
