Each year these threads read the same.

The Australians:
- ironically spend a disproportionate amount of effort posting long diatribes about how little they care about the format.

The Irish:
- try to pretend that they were completely innocent victims in the violent scenes of a few years ago (complete rubbish),
- completely lie by pretending that they didnt talk up that Gooch guy who got ironed out (Danyle Pearce LMAO) as some sort of enforcer who was going to teach those Aussie thugs a lesson.
- irritate the **** out of us by saying "ye".

Both sides:
- have circular arguments that go nowhere over whether the round ball or tackling is a greater disadvantage/advantage.

I like how the Irish always talk up how hard they are then when their players can't handle the physicality dished out, they cry about the AFL guys being professionally trained athletes.

We used the same "we picked a team to play the game style" line that we used last year, the difference was last year we had a couple of blokes named Goodes, Boyd, Gibbs and Swan running around.
