With the 6-8 week lay off for Brad Fisher due to injury is it time for Carlton to promote Jesse D Smith off the rookie list and give him a crack at the senior level football? Your feed back would be gratefully appreciated. :thumbsu:

dont think we can. i think it has to be a 8 week minimum injury. could be wrong though. could someone please confirm

Davies is listed as indefinite on the injury list. That being the case they could elevate a rookie now. The message I get from the non elevation of a rookie to replace Davies is that the club don't think any of the rookies have earned elevation at this time.

Nope.

Anyone called a 'ball magnet' in the vfl i always equate with that other stat monster Doering.
He is simply not quick enough,
or smart enough to make it with the big kids.

This bloke has been rookie listed for 2 years.
in a list that hasn't won 10 games in that time.

That more than sums him up.

^^^^ Has had his injuries though. He deserves a shot at senior level. Who knows, we might unearth another Bentick or Carrazzo.

You can only afford one or two of these guys at the most.

Terrific attitude is great.
But substituting skill,
(which is all of the aformentioned's weakness)
for work ethic (what in the christ does that mean in football terms?)
against the elite shows you get found out really quick.
