At least then i'd have a new player to cringe at the site of... those players are all very inconsistent don't bring them up... Much rather take a chance in the draft as we have a good record with late picks. Do you think we could convince Freo that Jericho was a good player?? Come back Pav Come Back....

Might wanna rethink that...Didak has the most kicks in the league this year, and i would think most of these were quality as well. Add 20 odd goals to the mix...i think that's consistent.

Have it on VERY good authority that Jericho will be traded/delisted at seasons end....more than likely traded as he has had some interest (surprisingly).

Him and Neil Craig don't get on and he's gone.

Will NOT be at the club next year.

A recent development?

If Craigy had no time for him, why would he have kept him on the list?

My interpretation of the situation is that its more Jericho that doesn't like Neil Craig, but certainly Jericho is pushing to be traded - and he has interest.

It would be perfectly logical if he didn't like the coach seeing as he gets dropped after a good one. Of course he probably should like the coach seeing as he gets picked in the first place. :p I personally hope he does get traded - I'd love to see what he can do if given a real crack at it.

He certainly needs another environment. And who knows, he might make something of it.

I would imagine that we would do a simple upgrade of one of our picks. Perhaps Jericho and our third round pick to Carlton for their third round pick. Or we do something small with Richmond for one of their under-achieving South Aussies - but it is hard to imagine we want to do a player swap with limited spots on our list.

Yes, but he's been given plenty of chances to make his mark. He should be grateful to Craig for that. He's good games, but he;s been lacking in a lot of areas, he may kick a handful of goals but he has to do more than that.

I think Craig is looking for his power running and contested marking to feature :D

We should trade Jericho for Pav with Freo !

After all we traded in a super star in Chris Groom for this "average" player in Andrew McLeod? Geez really what has Macca ever done ?! lol

I think Freo got the better deal, a big KP player ! lol lol lol lol

Freo must be so scared to trade with anyone these deals, Medhurst has proven to be genuine star of the comp, hmmm and Tarrant well ???!!!!

He's been given a chance here or there over 6 years, but he's never really been given a good crack at it (for more than two games in a row for example). Dropped after playing good games, selected when not warranted on form, he really needed a solid 5 games to see if he could bring his game up to the standard on a consistent basis. Not going to happen here now you would think, so he's better off going somewhere that will give him that chance.

Six years = real crack.

Music to my ears. If he's traded rather than delisted, so much the better. :thumbsu:

i wonder if Craigy gives Jericho another shot against the tigers, he kicked 5 amazing goals last time!

horses for courses?????

A more appropriatee analogy with horses for Jericho is the movie title "They shoot horses, don't they?" :)

Bullshit. A game here and there does not consitute a real crack. Why are you still bothering... he's not going to be here next year, you should be out celebrating.

He's had as many cracks as he's deserved.

Gift wrap it up whichever way you want, and just keep turning that blind eye to his many weaknesses, but they exist and that's why he cannot get a regular game after 6 years.

Jenny, he does NOT put in hard enough, he does NOT chase hard enough when he hasn't got the ball. He lets his team-mates down.

THAT's why he's not in the team - nothing to do with unfair-ness or Craigy hates him or whatever crap reason you may want to invent.

Malcolm Blight had a saying "You get what you deserve in footy" and that genuinely applies to Jericho.

This HAS to be his last year.

You get no arguments from me that this will be his last year with us. I will always believe, however, that he was handled very poorly by us. We may have got more out of him if he'd been given the opportunity. His confidence (not to mention his state of mind) would have to be very low based on the fact that his best was never rewarded (in fact it was punished by being dropped) and his not so best, was (being picked when not warranted on form). Footy clubs handle players badly from time to time, for many of you it was how we handled Mattner (yet I thought that was spot on) - for me it is how we've handled Jericho.

He is played on the wing way too many times, not his posistion. He would have fared much better at FF.

I have tried to see the best in Jericho all year, hoping he'd improve on his defensive efforts and add that to his natural goal-sense and well timed leads up forward. I've had many spirited debates with friends and family who would have cast him aside long ago:D

But he totally lost me in the Showdown...simply showcased every flaw in his game. It was embarrassingly weak.

Such a frustrating player...booming kick, finds the goals, athletic, has a bigger/better build than most players out there, 190cm tall and yet...just does not hit the body or ball consistently hard enough and rarely creates adequate defensive pressure when required.

For both parties sake i hope he gets an opportunity elsewhere. On his way there, (and i do not say this in a derogatory fashion) i hope he steps in the Sports Psychologist office and works our how he might best approach AFL footy. Flip that timidity and laziness switch over to aggressive intensity and he'll turn his career around.
