News Jack Dyer Stand may go in $60m Punt Road Oval redevelopment

Bugger me, the suggestion to build over or across the Brunton Road will dramtically increase the cost of the redevelopment and would most likely be knocked back given it would involved the closure of Brunton Avenue which is actually an important city bypass/thoroughfare. Lets not forget that to put the new facilities above Brunton Avenue would also mean a lot more of demolition of current facilities at Punt Road, possibly including the Swimburn Centre, meanwhile the old decrepit rundown Jack Dyer Stand would sit there unusable and slowly becoming an even bigger eyesore than it currently is.

"Don't knock down the stand, doesn't anyone care about tradition"
Please. Get with the times, im happy they will be knocking the thing down so we can give our players, staff and fans the facilities that they deserve.
We gotta keep moving forward before we get left behind.

Funnel people from Richmond station straight to the Roar Store and then to the 'G. Open 24/7.

Profit

that looks like deutsches stadion

Just a random one in Milan. Was walking past and had a look.
Have a look at the stone blocks. It’s probably been there 500 years and ain’t going nowhere. Aths track around a soccer ground. As usual kids there doing aths and all the parents staring at their iPhones. Lol.

Edit: Arena Civica (Gianni Brera) 1807.
