Would be interesting to see what his trade value is. Seems a very underrated footballer.

Jake Lloyd unhappy with contract offer according to Sam Edmund on SEN. What is his worth money wise and from a trade point of view? Quality player that I think the Swans would really want to hold on to.

I heard that, too. He was top three (?) in last year's B&F. He's become a really important player and set to take over that HB quarterbacking role when McVeigh retires. I'm hoping that's just a story put out there to put a little pressure on the negotiations.

I have not seen a hell of a lot of Nic but what I have I like, IMO he would be an upgrade on players like Tom Bell, Rohan Bewick, Ryan Lester, Ryan Bastinac, do you want any of them?

I don't think he would be worth too much though, can't cement a regular spot in your side so he'd only be worth a 4th round selection or a late shuffle of picks.

20 is a second rounder.

14-20 wouldn’t be far off what he is worth, next year’s second is the closest we’d have to that though.

Can’t see us trading Billings unless he requested.

I’m only going from a St Kilda point of view, we don’t have a pick in the late teens.

I can’t see our second rounder being in the 30’s next year either.

I think looking back, Sydney are quite easy to deal with. Mitchell for 14 comes to mind.

Maybe we could find a sweetener if it came to it, but I’m not sure what else would be of interest.

I don't think Lloyd is necessarily someone you need as a flanker. You need quality in the middle. but the age profile of Lloyd fits. Our first this year will be on the table (Points for Blakey) but a top 3/4 pick for Lloyd + a Teens pick seems to be a very high price.

Unless you trade next years first, or a player (Most likely not to us), you don't currently have the required currency.

Lloyd is a good player but he isn’t damerging to point opposition sides even put work into him , like Clarkson did with Malceski or to this day laird , johanison etc etc

He lacks penetration in his kicking which doesn’t allow him to break the game open

We are a great defensive unit so I’m not sure he would get the allowance he does at another club

Great player at kicking it out the back and chipping side ways etc

From my observations it seems like Lloyd is critical to how your team transition play and moves the ball around in general. I agree that he would not have the same freedom in a poorer team though.

No doubt we’ll be after a quality midfielder amd I’m sure we’ll take one with our first pick, but we also need composure and skill across half back.

Next year’s first is definitely overs but maybe you are right about trading a player out for a pick.

He's great in a contest and likes to take the game but butchers the ball a bit. He'd come pretty cheaply but Edmonds this morning was saying he wants to go home to a Vic club. Sounds likely - he's well back in the queue at Sydney.

Why on earth would he want to move to a rabble from a successful club?

If playing footy in a successful team is a paramount concern, then Gold Coast would be his last option.....Most players can't wait to leave there.

He'll be heading home to a Victorian club if he decides to go.....You'll need to significantly increase your offer, for that to happen.
