The 49ers biggest receiving target out of the backfield this week was their FB. That's telling.

(who BTW had a 52yd reception, imagine the front page press we'd have seen if that was Hayne)

Their coaching staff is either horribly stubborn or have no choice. Either way it's staggering their lack of adjustments given the amount of injuries they've had.

Bo kno...

Jarryd knows NRL. Jarryd knows NFL. Jarryd knows marketing. Jarryd knows media.. Jarryd just knows!

He needs to 'know' one of those a lot better.

Hint is in your post.

Jarryd Hayne; Keeping it real...

SANTA CLARA – Rookie running back Jarryd Hayne said Tuesday that continuing to learn the game of American football trumps any feelings of frustration at not getting the ball in his hands.

Hayne played nine snaps of offense on Sunday in the 49ers’ 25-20 victory over the Baltimore Ravens while starter Carlos Hyde was nursing a foot injury. But Hayne did not touch the ball during his time on offense.

“For me, it's about going out there and learning and being grateful to get the opportunity to be out there and learn the game," Hayne said. "You've got to remember, it's just my (sixth) game, so it's still a learning process. Every week I feel more and more comfortable out there."

Hayne, the 49ers’ primary punt returner, had one return for 4 yards but fumbled when Baltimore's Anthony Levine stripped him from behind.

“I know it was a risky play,” Hayne said. “I fended someone off and I just should have had more ball security. It's one of those plays where I'm trying to get extra yards where obviously protecting the ball is more the key thing."

Hayne is averaging 9.5 yards on eight returns. He has 25 yards rushing on eight attempts as he transitions to the NFL after leaving behind a successful career in Australia’s National Rugby League.

“It's everything I expected," Hayne said. "You can prepare and study as much as you want, but game day and game intensity is different. For me, I've embraced every challenge and being ready when my name is called upon."

Objective, not subjective. Sheesh.
And, neither can you be objective.
Yes, that's right, you cant be objective, its obvious in your posts and the fact you say you dislike Hayne....for no reason. Who does that..???

You admitted you 'dislike' him. Proves you cant even be subjective.

Objective, not subjective. Sheesh.
And, neither can you be objective.

I dislike Tom Brady. Doesn't mean that I don't think he's one of the best players ever to play the game.

I hate Colin Kaepernick more than any player in the NFL. Yet at the same time i can admit he's also a terrible QB, sometimes you just have to swallow your pride and look the facts squarely in the eye. :thumbsu:

Wait… am i doing it right?

Hayne visited the Seattle Seahawks about a month after announcing his retirement from rugby league. He watched the Seahawks play the Denver Broncos, one day after attending the University of Washington's game against Georgia State. Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said he was intrigued by the possibilities.

"We thought he really could be a highlighted player," Carroll said on a conference call Tuesday with Bay Area reporters. "We had a lot of thoughts about how we’d use him."

Carroll on Hayne -- Jarryd Hayne had three main suitors when he was getting ready to make the jump from Australia's rugby league to the NFL: the 49ers, Lions and Seahawks.

"I thought it was an exciting prospect to get him in here," Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Tuesday. "... It's really cool to see that he's played and he's contributing and he's a factor in the games. He's done some really good stuff."

Though Hayne officially is listed as a running back, the 49ers have used him primarily as a punt returner through the first six games. He has eight carries for 25 yards as a tailback and had no offensive touches on Sunday.

Did the Seahawks envision Hayne in a similar role?

"We thought he really could be a highlighted player," Carroll said. "We had a lot of thoughts about how we were going to use him."
