That is just not true
Yes. In South Africa.Have you experienced being belittled and broken by racial comments?
What if other bald men don't laugh it off?As a bald man myself, honestly I just find it pretty ridiculous and laugh it off. It's so, so, so much less historically charged than anything to do with LGBT sexuality or blackness that it's not the same league, it's barely even the same sport.
Yes. In South Africa.
I don't think you can pick and choose which slurs to police. Take them all out

Sacked with no process?i have seen people be walked off site for less.
it is 100% true.
This type of language does not fly in any type of half decent workplace, even construction sites. If you are working in a place that allows its employees to call each other F****** with zero consequences, than you are working in a s**t hole.
I'd rather we live in a world where slurs aren't said at all, but this is the world we're stuck with.Do we really want to live in a society where an off the cuff remark is so heavily scrutinised. Really this sort of think has just gone way to far.
I agree.I clearly stated that in a previous post
So it's ok to slur about height, weight, looks etc?As a bald man myself, honestly I just find it pretty ridiculous and laugh it off. It's so, so, so much less historically charged than anything to do with LGBT sexuality or blackness that it's not the same league, it's barely even the same sport.
Why not call them all out? Then there is no grey area.I'd rather we live in a world where slurs aren't said at all, but this is the world we're stuck with.
Its never been illegal to be bald. What about calling someone a 'bald c@#t'? Is that type of slur ok?
That's up to them and how they feel about it, and why. What if other bald men don't laugh it off?
"OK" is a weird term to use. To be frank, it's never something that is going to get a Tick of Approval but we just kind of roll with it because sledging is seen as being tolerable in professional sport. So it's ok to slur about height, weight, looks etc?
Sacked with no process?
Why tolerate it? If the AFL is meant to be inclusive, why should any remarks designed to denigrate be accepted?"OK" is a weird term to use. That doesn't answer the question. Its never been illegal to be bald.
You're right, you never said sacked. ApologiesFirstly I said walked off site. That doesn't mean you are sacked necessarily. But the subcontractor's employee is removed from site and then told not to come back. Most if not all Principal contractor/subbie agreement stipulates you can be removed from site for certain behavior.
I have requested plenty of subcontractors' employees to be removed from site before whether its drugs, alcohol, language, behavior etc. Not uncommon these days.
Whether the subbie company then sacks the actual employee who was removed from site is up to them. But most employment contracts these days allows for immediate dismissal for this type of behavior. And have heard of plenty of people losing their jobs for this type of stuff.

In a lot of industries, you won’t be lasting long if you have that type of language.Firstly I said walked off site. That doesn't mean you are sacked necessarily. As a bald **** I can assure you I didn't have my head kicked in for my lack of hair. Your comparison is stupid. Why tolerate it? If the AFL is meant to be inclusive, why should any remarks designed to denigrate be accepted?
I am in education. A lot of process before you get re-registered.In a lot of industries, you won’t be lasting long if you have that type of language.
Some professions could lose their professional registration, too. Eg. Teacher, health care workers, etc.
I disagree that it's stupid. So your stance is it's acceptable to slur based on height, weight, looks etc?As a bald NTTAWWT I can assure you I didn't have my head kicked in for my lack of hair. Your comparison is stupid.
Are you arguing that we should eliminate any and all sledging? Why tolerate it? If the AFL is meant to be inclusive, why should any remarks designed to denigrate be accepted?
Yes. Why should any form of denigration be accepted? Are you arguing that we should eliminate any and all sledging?
There’s some sledging that’s normal and even players would do it to themselves. The game will never eradicate it but this should be a clear warning to players: there are some lines you don’t cross.Yes. Why should any form of denigration be accepted?
