Liverpool FC,
Gee we can look for alot of negatives as supporters. I have been reading alot of posts and all we seem to reading is how Varcoe is no good our Mooney is struggling etc etc.

Its a bloody long year and maybe we have to realise we wont dominate teams like we have the last 2 years. Yep im disappointed with Otto going down and shattered for Mitch Brown as well but maybe we might have to grind it out for awhile until we hit our straps. Other teams are absolutely hell bent on hitting us hard and challenging us at every opportunity.

Mentally we have kept coming and coming and if we have periods in games were it doesnt gel thats just football. Losing Ottens yesterday really stuffed up our structures and throws alot of the team balance around, but we know reload looking for next week against the pies.

Well said Just Do Something. :thumbsu: This time last year we weren't playing well either, but still getting the four points. Yes, the injury to Ottens is a massive blow, but we did win 8 in a row without him last season, and in that time we won against teams with dominant ruckmen like Port Adelaide, Fremantle and Essendon. As long as Blake breaks even in the hitout count, and does his best to minimise the opposing ruckman's influence around the ground, I'll be happy. He may not be the best ruckman in the league, but there are several around the league he is better than, and if he puts in 100% effort, as he tends to do, he can break even with all but a few.

Yup. If last year taught us anything it's that what you do now means absoultely nothing. It is hard to watch a guy like Ottens getting carried off the field, but he will be bacl, and we will be fine. If we lose a few along the way, so be it.

totally agree winty

We're 2-0, the reigning premiers are 0-2.

Who are we to complain?

Harley will make a massive, massive difference to the backline when he returns.

Correct. AA Backman, Captain and a spritual Leader. Would like Stokes back too. We are far from settled structurally and fitness wise but are still winning so far. No doubt there will be some losses but early wins are very important IMO...(unlike some other clubs).

Nice to read all this positivity, but it does remind me of Bombers 2001, 2002. There are some worrying signs and IMO , we will really struggle against Bulldogs, Saints, Hawks later, Blues, and Pies, mainly due to injuries, our ageing list, lack of a scary hungry potent key forward, and the rest catching up. It is good to enjoy the successes we are having as we know it will not last and if it is only fatigue and limited preparation, compared to teams that didn't play finals, great, I'll be rapt, but I think Saints and Dogs have improved, narrowed the gap, and may have their good run of luck with injuries that we had and are not having so far this year. And, we do look a little slow. But yes, we are lossless which is excellent and we have no right to complain, just worry.

We've lost 2 games in 12 months. Collingwood and Hawthorn.... Things are shocking at the cattery!

we lost.. aaaarrrrrrhhhhhh ffffaaaarrrrkkkkkk !!!!

Listening to Selwood on C7 this morning, it sounds like it was planned to "just" beat Richmond. Playing Selwood on the wing, Ablett off the ball for 2 quarters. Geelong only played for 1 and 1/2 quarters for the match as there is only a 5 day break till we play Collingjail. I agree, we should relax as I'm sure Bomber and the boys know what they is doing.

Disagree.... You can take no side in the AFL lightly these days.

I think you have taken Selwood the wrong way. All week we heard that the tiges were going to come out breathing fire and that was reflected in Bombers post-match press conference and player interviews after the game.

ok im now relaxed

but varcoe, blake and lonergan are still shitty

Bet they're still heaps better than you, and me for that matter. That's why they're out there playing and we're not. :thumbsu:
