What a terrible thread and terrible poll question.

So BigFooty can be the judge of wanting him dropped literally every week he plays in spite of him being a good player, yet BigFooty can be the disciplinarian and whine and want to punish him when him being out of contract and looking at options at other clubs?

Give me a break.
Considering Bigfooty has absolutely no say in either matter I'm not sure what your problem is.

The question is
What WILL the club do
Not
What SHOULD the club do

And how is it so ridiculous when Henderson last year made his intentions clear and his club did not ply him.

So yes of the heroes in this post with "sources" are correct and he got the approval - vote the first option and move on.

So many touchy posters in here.
If he didn't get approval the personally I'd do nothing but the history of bevo leads to him being out of the side this week. Time will tell

Im worried sick about this news about Jong. Ive been losing sleep over it. Last night I only got 9 hours instead of my usual 10.

EXCUSE ME.... I believe that you have STOLEN my quote from another thread! Delete your post forthwith or else you will be hearing from my solicitor! All of my posts are copyrighted.© I intend to compile a book containing all of my words of wisdom for future degenerates to read.

Are you related to him?

The way you carry on about him he is the next Chris Judd.

Good player? Come on mate he is an average player at very best and if you think he played well against the swans you really need to watch the game again. He was putrid.

Regardless he is a fringe player and no club should bend or fold to fringe players so if he wants out let him go.

After the loyalty the club has shown him the fact he is looking at other clubs actually says a fair bit to me about him.

Champion Data had him as our 8th best player on the weekend. I'd rather take objective statistics over your subjective bias.

If the club actually approved it as suggested by one poster in this thread then I don't see why Jong will have been pulled from his multi cultural ambassador role at an event today ! Last minute withdrawal.

If the club approved it he has nothing to worry about - he has no reason to hide - so maybe "sources" need to be checked!

Just why was he pulled from his event today if everything is above board and the club and everyone happy about it ?

I personally don't care but really not going to be surprised if he is in the out list on Thursday night.

When there is very little difference between him and a guy like Dunkley - do you really think the clubs going to select Jong if they know he will be elsewhere next year??

Maybe he was going there to spy and access their information under cover :)

Go back and look at the match day tread and abuse he copped that wasn't me.

Open your eyes mate come on

I dont post on here very often but i do read a lot of posts on here.
I am assuming 80+% of people on here are paid up members of our football club. So we are the backbone of this club and we pay his wages, therefore we are entitled to our opinion whether others agree or not.
I dont have a problem with him wanting to change employers (change clubs) but NOT shopping around mid season while he is still under contract. I dont have a problem with his manager doing a tour on his behalf but it is disrespectful for him to do it at this stage of the season.
I Could not care less about how other codes operate i only care about our club.
We have been shafted in recent times by our Coaches jumping ship (Malthouse, when the club nearly folded and Wallace) and , to players jumping ship (we did not get proper compensation from expansion plastic clubs either).Dont get me started on Higgins the oxygen thief whom we vested so much time and money on.
In principle we need to draw a line in the sand and whether it was sanctioned by the club or not is irrelevant. It sends the wrong message to young players coming through that can think "Im not going too well here, i might shop around" instead of putting my head down and arse up and be committed and show this club i can do what it takes to improve and show my gratitude for the opportunity i have been given.
So I say drop him and give a younger bloke a go who is committed to the RED, WHITE and BLUE.

I noticed that at the end of the Sydney game he didn't celebrate as hard as the other boys.

Stick him in the VFL until he learns how to celebrate better

Seriously, he gives his all as a player but he'll always be a liability. When our mids are all in the 23-27 bracket I'll go hee for tiggy if he's in our best 22.

A straight swap for Darcy Moore or Hurley will be fine.

Jongs obviously the thin edge of our playing group wedge and the first player forced out by Boyds outrageous contract. He wont be the last.

Oh come on !
He wants out for opportunity and security - not for money.

He is that far back in the list of mids he is only ever going to be a 24-30 ranked player and his salary would reflect that.

Really naive to blame it on Boyd ! That's an easy out that is

I developed my passion for 3-ply toilet roll after a visit to the
then Westpac centre now Holden centre i hope Jongy had a
curry inspired crap and then used the swimming pool on the
way out.

Biggest non-event since Tom versus Zaine super drunk biffo,
you cut me bitch, extravaganza.

I don't mind the way you go about it MD, a bit obsessive about Jong but that's okay. I see quite a lot in Jong that I like. He definitely is not 'average'. Speed (quickest at the club apparently), athleticism, courage and a exponential improvement that could reveal a gem - a unique player.

I think if we need to off load some talent I would prefer to see your other mate Hrovat get a chance somewhere else. Honey appears to be at the wrong club at the wrong time. Prudden is out of luck. Hamilton etc etc.

As long as Jongy isn't doing the Lewis Taylor on the club I hope we match whatever offers are going around, unless someone throws something ridiculous at us (a pick under 20).

Seriously?

Jong is an athlete. Dunkley is a footballer. Jong is quicker than Dunkley will ever be.
Dunkley already has football nous Jong may never develop. I don't see them as that similar to be honest, Dunkley will get by on positioning while Jong is more likely to break out from a pack.

My thoughts exactly. We have too many short people on the list.

I'm more than happy to say that if we sign this bloke to another 3 years I will be ropable.

How long does anyone get to "prove" themselves seriously?

If he doesn't break out by the end of the year get someone else into the list that might make it but of you need longer than that to make it and your are not a tall it should be clear to anyone your not going to make it.
