The only thing I don't like about this story is that we've apparently offered Thomas a contract.
Hahahaha. He took 5 contested marks this year. Fantastic!

So we have Chaplin, Surjan, Pearce, Jacobs, Thomas and others all looking for a trade? What happened there? Seems the club doesn't want to give them long enough deals?
and obviously Logan, Sal, maybe Rodan gone too. Wont have many 25+yos on the list next year.
Matt Thomas bust his guts for this club at ever chance he gets, when off the fild he is a great ambassador for us yet people on this board talk nothing but crap about him.
No wonder with everything else that is going on good quality people like this want out.

Lets be honest tho.. thinking about it i would prefer Thomas in my team over dom. But i guess that cant happen for obvious reasons....
Pearce and Surj must be resigned! ASAP!
Surj and pittard down back as small shut down defenders with some actual run coming out!
Diddums. This is the AFL, if you're not good enough it doesn't matter how nice you are or how hard you try. Thomas isn't good enough.
I don't get where this Surj leaving stuff has come from. Yes Surj had a poor 2011 season but his 2012 was excellent until he got injured - if we lose Surj it would surely only be to retirement and not to another AFL club. It's madness that we would consider letting him go.
We gave you pick 42 for that trade and you got Mitchell Banner, i'd say we both got bent over, wouldn't you agree?**** off Richmond.
Sure, if we are going to bend Richmond over again ala the Thompson trade, I don't think even I would be unhappy. Otherwise, Richmond can go and get screwed.
Matt doesn't perform to his potential in nearly any of his games, which is a massive problem for him. He still has a decent impact on most games though, and he is one of our only players who can win the inside ball, take a tackle and dish it off, he is also fantastic overhead for a short guy. However, his decision making can be very poor, he has an inconsistent disposal (its good most of the time, but sometimes he tries to do something too hard and messes up), and is a horrible shot at goal. Basically, he is inconsistent.
Despite his faults I still believe he is important to the future of this club, not because he will be our best player (he won't, ever) but because at worst he will turn up every week and do his job, and at best he will be a very good player.
If Richmond get him cheap, they could end up extremely happy.
People like thomas are scape goats for our crappy draphting , we have one outside footballer andthe rest inside .
Is his knee stuffed?dont be so sure......

Could Urquhart re-find some of that early glimpses he showed at a new club, did start quite well in the AFL only to fall from grace at a rapid rate
You might very well think that, I couldn't possibly comment.Could Urquhart re-find some of that early glimpses he showed at a new club, did start quite well in the AFL only to fall from grace at a rapid rate
