I'll believe it when I see it.

The guys that have said Richmond are a train wreck are pretty much spot on, then again so are Melbourne.

What does he hope to gain out of the rest of his career? Shattered dreams?

Shattered dreams are what you get 9/10 times the Pies make the GF.

EVERY team in the comp want to play Collingwood in the big one.:p;):D

The reason I speak that way about Richmond is beacause I'm sick of all the talk about Richmond being on the rise. I'm not ashamed of barracking for Melbourne as we actually had a run at the top and now it's time to rebuild. Have a look at the first post of this thread and you can see why I went this far.

Under Norm Smith maybe

Is the mail I got too, but from a different person obviously.

To be honest, I hope it's true. I would absolutely detest seeing Judd a member of Carlton or the Pies. But a member of Melbourne I could certainly accept.

Obviously, I'd love to have him at Windy Hill next year but I can't see him getting involved in the problems that are the Essendon Football Club at present.

Hell, if he played for Melbourne next year I reckon I'd just about buy a membership to help them out and head a long to a few matches! :thumbsu:

Im with you mate. I dont care if he goes to melbourne, im not fussed if we dont get because of the cost to out list but I could not stand him going to carlton or essendon. He is such a good player to watch and at melbourne I can still appreciate his brilliance, I could not do this if he was at carlton or essendon.

Richmond are without a doubt the shitest AFL club in the league. Your facilities are a f#ck*n# joke and your list is terrible. Not only did your team finish bottom but your young kids did nothing, with the exception of Foley. The best players were consistently Richo, Bowden, Johnson, Brown etc. And look at your VFL team. Yes you made the final but your side hardly hit a target on the weekend. It was embarrassing. You call that your future.

All this talk from Richmond supporters is that your side is going to challenge in 3 years. Well in three years Geelong and W.C will still be at the top, and after that it will be time for Hawthorn, Collingwood, Port, Brisabane etc to step up. There kids are sooooooo much better than yours its not funny.

The fact of the matter is that Richmond will never be good because of your recruiting department. Look at you first round picks. Deledio, Tambling, JON, Riewoldt, Schultz. Compare that to Hawthorn. Hodge, Lewis, Birchall, Thorpe, Ellis, Dowler, Roughead, Franklin. That's why you guys suck. And other clubs actually do research and pick up gun players with late pick like Port getting Westhoff. When's the last time Richmond managed to do that.

Your facilities are a f#ck*n# joke Ah, at least we have facilities. And they're ours. And they're all in the one location. And they have been for 100 years, so there's a bit of tradition attached - a "spiritual home" if you like. Not a ramshackle stopgap location.

The best players were consistently Richo, Bowden, Johnson, Brown etc. And that would be why after Richo, the best and fairest ran Foley, Tuck, Polak, Deledio.

your VFL team. Yes you made the final Yes, we made the final. And then we had a bad one. I presume that, following your thinking, should Port get thumped tomorrow you would be writing them off as being any good in the near future. If you read so much into one game I assume you would put even more weight on the rest of the season, where we were the second best VFL team with, presumably, the second best kids in the state.

Deledio, Tambling, JON, Riewoldt, Schultz. Compare that to Hawthorn. Hodge, Lewis, Birchall, Thorpe, Ellis, Dowler, Roughead, Franklin. You expect a lot from 19 year old kids selected in the past two years - at least you do if they're from Richmond. How do you consider Thorpe, Ellis or Dowler as having shown anything better than Riewoldt, Schulz and JON. Also, you go back as far as Hodge (01) yet choose not to mention Luke Brennan or Max Bailey, and Adam Pattison is an interesting omission from your list of Tigers.

pick up gun players with late pick like Port getting Westhoff. When's the last time Richmond managed to do that Classic. Andrew Raines, pick 76, Rising Star runner-up. Shane Tuck pretty handy at pick 73, too. And pencil in Daniel Connors, 58, to be as good as any in last years top 10. Oh yeah, Nathan Foley through the rookie draft, and throw Will Thursfield and Jake King in there too. That's after the main draft, so it's like - a really late pick.

It just takes a little bit of thought, a touch of research (like Port with Westoff), a smidgeon of intelligence and a few deep breaths, and your comments can make sense too.

Well Haggard you've done the job for me. Was about to rip into that post.

Only thing I'd fault with yours is that it made it sound the Geelong VFL side was full of kids. It had experienced Geelong seniors D.Johnson, Gardiner, Playfair and King, coupled with a fairly advanced group consisting of Lonergan, S.Hunt, Prismall and Callan. In total 17 Geelong listed players all up against our 12.

Coburg were highly fancied to finish bottom 4 considering how young and inexperienced it is (VFL listed players included), I think it was a sensational effort to make the Grand Final.

Max Bailey - WTF are you trying to say?

Beav, there were too many things left unsaid, like why did he use the Hawks for an example of top draft picks when it was Melbourne who copped the initial (and very soft) criticism? Could it be because of names like Molan, Smith, Sylvia and Dunn?

I'm just a little busy today.

Sorry BenH, wasn't calling Bailey a dud. Just pointing out the selectivism of names mentioned and not mentioned.

Wow who would have thought!

You must be very proud!

Another Filth supporter with no idea.

I'd go back and re-post what I did for Morgoth not too long ago... but in a nutshell our facilities will be on par with yours in 2009, our membership will go beyond 30,000, our list (when fit) is very competitive and we are turning a profit again this year.

Then again, Pie fans seem to think the only thing that matter is the Lexus Centre. Fact is it doesn't. As pointed out we have played more finals than you over the last decade, so what does that say about all your shit talk? It means nothing.

Happy to see him go to the Dees the team he grew up supporting. They are also my second favorite team after The Lions. Good on 'em!

No problems going to the Dees.

Would have gone to Carlton for money only- They are crap and at least 5 years off challenging fo a flag.

Bombers- For a crack next year possibly 2009, but then big slump when Lloyd, Lucas, Fletcher, Michael are all gone.

Pies-Would have cost us to much in trading I'd think.

This wouldn't be surpising to me if it was true. Grew up supporting them, also would help the club in bringing supporters back through the gates. I reckon we might be second preference (if he names one) simply because collingwood don't have sufficient trade bargaining power. If this happen this would really help WC out because both Melbourne and us have pretty similair trade options and in a way, it could get ugly for the winner of judd.

You must be joking?
Yes you have played more finals than us in the last decade.
But clubs go through rebuilding and succesful times also.

But if you honestly think that your list fully fit would be competitive...you are a fool.
You have the worst list from the bottom 4 clubs, no youth and ageing players that might be traded come trade week. (Robertson & Green).

And lets not forget your wonderful backline...Carol, whealen, wheatly, bizzel (retired).

If Chris Judd does chose your club (and i think he will) you will lose most likely...pick #4, robertson & green. When you really need to use the pick for a 18 yr old KPP.

Judd said he wanted success, not money or to be captain. Although you guys have been in the finals 10 times in the last 14 yrs (or whatever it is)...you will not have the list to be in the finals for at least til 2010-2011.

And you must be joking when you say that Judd will turn your membership to over 30,000 and you will have great facilities...you have to win games to get members and make money to get quality facilities...i can't see any of this happening any time soon.

Good Luck and keep dreaming! :D

From one of Judd's best mates, as much as I can't understand it, Judd's preferred team will be named as Melbourne.
Maybe he's looking for an ultra low profile, poor facilities, probably the worst list of the bottom 4 teams going forward (besides Essendon), etc, etc.

and the toygs have got a great list...FFS.. thats all we need on these threads, delusional toyg fans

kicked your arse again this year

trav and anthony really dominated, not

make money to get quality facilities...i can't see any of this happening any time soon.

do your homework dick, we'll be neighbours soon.

I just love that you have one bad year, and automatically you're the shittest team in the league with a bad list and cancerous issues...

But we are poor.
