Loudest Crowd moments!

Second loudest I’ve heard, sadly, was the 2013 elimination final while Carlton were coming back against Richmond in the 3rd Q. Both teams’ supporters were going nuts, ultimately for opposite reasons:

But the loudest I’ve ever heard, as others have said, was the first two goals of the 2017 Tigers Giants Prelim. 90000 supporters all going off together. The concrete stands were vibrating beneath our feet.

I find Richmond v Carlton games have the loudest crowds and I have been to many games not involving Carlton.

Most *impressive* loud noise was 2015 elimination final north vs Richmond, before the game even started, after the warm up Richmond players bunched up and turned to the punt Rd end, big noise out of nowhere
When Vickery turned Hansen inside out it was on

The above was as loud as I’ve heard our supporter base
The goals just came from nowhere

2017 Prelim Richmond vs Gws

90,000 Richmond supporters in the same place at the same time thirsty for their first grand final appearance since 1982

Not exactly a memory I enjoy re-living, but this is my footage from the end of the 2013 Prelim. You can hear the noise building and the siren going just as I decide to stop recording.

Note: Sorry about the vertical recording, I was young.

Thats pretty high quality footage, mostly every recording of a finals crowd since 2015 on youtube has been blurry or bad audio

Haha. Well thats the iPhone 6s for you. My 2007 Grand Final footage filmed on my Nokia N95 is total dogshit in comparison.

Loudest i've heard in person is Boyd from inside the centre square.
Was behind our goals on Level 3 and the whole crowd just stood up watching it go 60+metres.

That goal beat the Picken sealer, the bont prelim goal and the Stringer 3rd quarter goal in the semi in terms of sound.

I wasn’t there but from a a tv perspective the first goal Richmond kicked in the 2017 prelim was pretty loud.

For the Dees when Hannan kicked the sealer v Cats in the first final 2018. Must have been nearly 70k Melbourne supporters there that night. Massive noise.
butler's last goal was louder
ridiculously loud....and i play in a metal band...so i'd like to think i know loud lol

Oh man, I wish you'd kept recording, I would have loved to have heard that crowd sound from the siren.

2016 grand final liam picken 2nd goal after shane biggs smothers and multiple contests leading to maclean dropping the mark then "Liam picken nails it how big was that" favourite minute of sport ever

Essendon Marc Mercuri goal in 3rd quarter comeback against Crows 1993 Preliminary final. Loudest roar I have ever heard at a footy game.

Yep. That's the loudest roar I've ever heard through the TV. Started with Wanganean in the pack pocket. The crowd noise always builds with a chain of handballs then a goal.

Pendlebury’s second goal in the first quarter of the 2010 prelim.
Right foot from 45
That game was the first time I’d heard the C O L L I N G W O O D chant by large sections of the crowd

What's more impressive is that you captured it on a phone 2 years before it was released! ;)
