He's still shit. Now that he plays for you he's 'scummy shit'. The fact remains (as William just mentioned) he's a $475k defensive sometimes-stopper getting paid more than a $1m more per season than he's actually worth. Enjoy that, especially if he takes a mark (as that's when the real fun begins with him).

I'm not really disputing that McKay isn't worth the money he is on.......but he isn't getting paid that per season........ the first 3 years of McKay's contract is larger however the rest of his deal is significantly less than that.........that's how front-loaded contracts kind of work.

His total contract AVG is something like 800k a year. - still not worth it mind you.

In modern times and from memory, i think only two players have left North which we wanted to keep. JHF and Wells.
(Maybe Clarke? can't remember what happened there).

It's a pretty good retention record. Given where we're at not sure if that's a good thing or bad.
