Luke Hodge or Jimmy Bartel?

bartel easily.

hodge is great but the all round game of bartel is hard to ignore...does he ever play a bad game? i cant recall one in recent times. he extracts the ball and uses it well when in space.

i think hodge is more fashionable in that he's more skillful and talented, but if i was building a team i would rather bartel in my team over hodge.

Wouldn't be much of a team then.

but it depends wot ur basing it on cos hodge sets up a great attack from defence but bartel doesnt hav to defend to much nd therefore just sets it up to the attack
therefore i think hodge works harder but bartel is beta to watch when he is on song

he was dominate early ing the gf with a few touches and inside 50s but then he got moved in to the forward line

That was in the first quater, and he wasn't exactly 'dominating' - alot of the touches were chain possessions.

Then Sewell clamped down on him and he did nothing for the rest of the game.

He was moved forward because Thompson had no real plan B, and since he wasn't doing much anyway he thought to try Bartel down forward.

here's a more realistic poll.

personally, i would rather have hodge in my team. i know bartel has a brownlow to his name and he deserved it too but i still think hodge is more valuable. obviously they play different positions so it's a bit harder to compare but i think hodgey has more impact on a game than bartel. while bartel is probably better at the clearances, better defensively, better at winning the contested ball and better around the ground, i think the way hodge sets up play from defence, his kicking and his general toughness are worth more. but it is a very close call, as the poll indicates.
