Interestingly an early review from "Official Xbox Magazine" gave it a 9.5 which is an awesome score considering Forza 3 got 9.5 and Dragon Age got 9.

I am most keen on playing as an Engineer in the game as I am keen on using the drone for a numbers advantage/distraction.

There's no issue of me using a ME 1 character, I definitely will, but the question is do I replay ME 1 with that character or a new character or do I just use my save from over a year ago.

I think I'll be using my old save.

You don't HAVE to play it as it's supposed to be a standalone game and you make a new Shepard and are brought up to speed on the plot. However I do recommend playing the first one seeing as it's a really awesome experience .

Not essential but it helps.

Bioware games are heavily story driven but I am sure the first part of the game both bring you up to date and lay the path for a new story.

Probably what also facilitates this to a greater degree is that your previous character or lack of, influences the way thios game plays out.

ME2 has not been released so cannot comment.

Should be ok lol.

See if anyone has done any benchmarks for your card running Mass Effect though.

If you run the first one well the second should be fine because they operate on essentially the same engine.

IF you haven't played ME1 you should certainly grab it now i reckon. You could play ME2 without playing it, but being able to do things like carry a character through both games is pretty tasty.

If you love action RPG's you'll be loving it.

And yeah the PC version was released some time after the 360 version, so they tweaked a few things like the inventory system to make it user friendly, so given the choice i'd probably plump for that. Hopefully those tweaks are carried over into the 360 version of ME2

It's alright. Stutters at time but after fixing the graphics and kiling off unnecessary programs, I made it to run smoother.

I thought the stores were only doing the special 7 am launch. Might be just EB doing that though.

I'm very much looking forward to getting in early in order to grab the free DLC, which I'm assuming will be available and isn't only for the American release on the 26th
