Matthew Kreuzer vs Paddy Ryder

Many shit posts in here, is the festival still going?

The biggest deciding point for me is going to be how well Kreuzer comes back. A major knee tends to set a big man back a few years in development. I hope it doesn't as Kreuz was great to watch this year, but if Paddy stays injury free and is used more forward then he'll continue to get my vote.

Seriously. Hurley I'm not convinced on, still early days for him though. Watson only looks half decent due to the rest of their midfielders being so utterly crap.

Why would anyone want a guy who can't/wont kick the ball is beyond me.

Ryder is the only one I can see becoming elite and thats what sets him apart from the rest of essendon's list in my eyes.

i think you'd find most of Carlton's board would love the idea of plonking Hurley in at CHB for the next 10 years. or Pears.

and Watson is exactly the type of midfielder Carlton need. We especially traded for McLean to do exactly what Watson does, except Watson's a lot better. Apart from those 3 though.... you're not too far off.

Oh and Kreuzer is going to be an absolute gun. Ryder's good but Kreuzer is going to dominate.

Do my eyes deceive me? An intelligent and reasonable post by a Blues supporter? What's the catch?

As to Ryder v Kruezer, i'm interested in your final sentence. Of the two, Ryder is the one that has shown he CAN dominate a game. Granted he has a few years on Kruezer but exposed form says Ryder. Ie; you assume that not only can Kruezer get better, but will get much better.

Thoughts?

Of course its speculative, but i would say Kruz will be dominant player for a decade. Ryder a very good player at times. Kruezer comfortably.

Kreuzer by a mile. Ryder is a real in betweener. He does some very stylish play, but ultimately you wouldn't really want him as your number one ruckman, as he's not tall enough nor does he have much of a physical presence. He's also not much of a KPP.
