MCC Tiger mates, who have missed the ballot; what are your plans?

I've done a bit of research on BigFooty in past years as I've never queued myself.

It seems in a typical year, if you arrive 5-6am, you'll get a seat, before 5am you'll get a good seat, before 4am you'll get a great seat.

However this year, I think that may be inadequate. I'm wondering whether we'll need to line up Friday evening!

What do you think?!

Are the ballet results out?

Wondering exactly the same mate.

Flying back from Egypt for this one - and want me and the old man to get in!!

Any wise souls out there who have a decent idea of when you might need to arrive in the queue?

The only issue I see is if the MCC locks out. Given it didn't do that yesterday I can't see it happening. I'm actually not fussed about a seat although it would be handy, but I'm happy to stand if need be. Would happily rock up at 1pm for standing room rather than line up for 8 hours. Tough decision though.

You'll get a LOT more neutrals to the GF compared to the PF.

Is there a way I can line up for a member(s) and also get into the ground? I would be willing to line up from Friday evening for a ticket. If the names need to match I would also get a fake ID (100% srs would do anything to get into the G).

The person’s photo is on the Membership Card. Very few people would risk lending it to you I think, getting kicked out of the MCC after waiting for two decades and paying thousands of dollars isn’t worth it

Yes, this. Although I've never had my photo checked, no way in hell I'd risk loosing my MCC membership.

The bloke on my ID has a LOT more hair... so not sure if they'll even believe it's me if they checked!

I'd even go far as to say that I'd buy a #lolnorf membership before I let someone use my MCC membership.

Believe it or not people have already started lining up at MCC entrance......
BTW full members can transfer reserved tickets between one another just FYI

No, they're not transferable.
Annual guest passes are, however, transferable and give holders as much access to the grand final as a full member. They are, however, rare as hens teeth. Only available to members who were full members pre-November 1986, who haven't handed in their guest pass in exchange for nominating a female for full membership.
