Speaking of dodgy goal umpiring decisions, did anyone see the shocker at Manuka today when Stenglien ran into an open goal and somehow put it out on the full - yet the goal umpire gave it a point!!!!!

Just a question - why did Neale Daniher play duds on Croad all night while Nicholson blanketed Longmuir?

They were saying the same thing on the radio but then someone said it was because the player taking the kick in ran between the goal and point posts so it was play on and a point.........

a strange one but has been called like that a few times this season.

Hey mate.....The MFC don't miss Wiz at all. Sure, he kicked the winning goal and he screwed us when he left after saying he would stay, but we don't miss his up and down performances. We recruited Vardy, who has easily filled the void he left. We don't need him. He'll retire in a few seasons or injure his suspect hammy again, and then I want to see you come out and make crap ass comments.

And Schwarz spent the last quarter on the bench son, for reasons I don't know. I am gathering he was injured, as Polak didn't dominate him at all. There were many times where he used his strength and out played him. I don't know what game you were watching. So pay some respect to a guy who, if it wasn't for his knees, would be the absolute superstar of this sport.

Bask in the glory of stealing the 4 points. We are a better side, we were a better side on the night and if things should have gone right, those 4 points would be ours.

Mate... the free kick count was 12 and 13. Gee... those stats really show that Freo are the umpires' favourites doesn't it?

Also, if Freo is an umpires' team, please tell me how Freo had the most missed free kicks last season, and why Jeff Gieschen invested the umpires' decisions at Subi early last year to find that there were a number of missed free kicks that should have been given to Freo...

Schwarz was dominated by a 17 year old who is slighter and much more agile than him. I was watching Polak closely and he was not being outmuscled by Schwarz, Polak was holding his ground well. Schwarz had 6 kicks, 4 handballs, 2 marks 0 goals and 0 behinds; whilst Polak had 11 kicks, 3 handballs and 6 marks... tell me who won that battle now, CFH.

Oh, please... If it wasn't for Farmer, you guys would not have made the 2000 grand final. And don't deny it, the games you lost in 2000 were from when Farmer kicked less than four goals. In the two games he was injured, you won the first and lost the second. Every time he kicked more than 3 goals in one game you guys won.. Now doesn't that tell you something?
Also, isn't it funny how after he came back from injury last year, you guys (for some unknown reason) started winning more games...

You are just a sore loser who gives no credit to a side where it is due. Unfortunately, You are unable to see past your red and blue glasses.
The game was a relatively even contest all night and either side could have won (I'll give you that one). Good sides win the close games and due to a blatant free kick frm Neitz in the dieing seconds, Freo had the opportunity to win the game.. and they weren't going to let this one slip after the opportunity presented itself. You can keep dwelling on it all you like, but in the end your side was not good enough to bring home the four points. End of story.

He was puffed, Ox himself has said many times b4 that he cant run out a full game. having said that, Polak did beat him. i saw freo play in adelaide, the week b4 and well he was good. Pavlich killed Neitz at full back. and it wasnt until Neita was put onto croad in the 4th that we got something usefull out fo him. and THEN he goes and gives away a STUPID! free kick. Absolutely pathetic. he should take full responsibility for that loss. we can argue about free kicks etc and points being goals, but if he had stayed out of that last contest, time would have beaten freo and we would have the 4 points. but oh well. ***** happens

Aging player that should have given it up years ago.
He has alwyas had it in for the freo football club and always will.

Nothing was sweeter than watching that aging relic get toweled by a player half his age and size.
