That was quick!

I guess country members won't get theirs until the fixtures come out since they have changed the rules for us.

Did you manage to upgrade from a country, to a full membership.

Or are they still running country packs ie: 5 games ?

New sytem this year , you have two choices

Derby and 4 other games

6 game packages without the derby.

No picking games , you have to take what package best suits you.

Apparently there will be a few choices with different games included so it will be first in best dressed , I would assume.

Well i am surprised they went down this path, as i switched to full membership, believing the club was going to phase country memberships out.

I am not whinging, as i have great seats and can now pick any home game.

Good news for country folk :thumbsu:

I guess the problem for the club previously was that everyone picked the derby, most would have selected the Friday night games, and very few would have picked games against sides like Port and the Kangaroo's.

Lets say they have 500 country members this year picking 5 games, next year they'll hypothetically have 250 full season members because half will get 5 games and half will get the other 6 games. So the seat that I sit in for 5 games another country member will have for 6 games.

I'm going to be away for half of May, all of June and possibly all of July next season, so I'm hoping the package that includes the derby has a 2 or 3 other games early in the season. I reckon the options will be the derby + the 4 least appealing games OR the six most appealing games excluding the derby.

I have family members who want to join up and sit with us, but because of the new system of not being able to nominate where you want to sit. We could lose our seats and be sat somewhere shizenhousen.

So we need to decide whether I want to enter the rat race and end up getting bad seats, or tell the inlaws to get nicked and sit in the seats i have now.

New members will find it difficult to get a seat and existing members wanting a shift will be near impossibe unless there is a mass 'non renewal which i can't see.

Had the opportunity back in 2005 but hesitated now stuck on the sunnyside of subi

I moved from the sunny side round then, it's annoying though I suppose you still have overcast days and of course the night games.

Bugger 'em. I didn't give my folks a second thought when they wanted to join and sit with us last year. I like our seats, and there was nothing near us, so they got what they could elsewhere.

They're piking for next year. They travel a bit and only got to 4 games last year (all the losing ones... missed every single winning game... :o), and are on their way around Aus next year, so I am very glad I didn't give in and shift seats so we could all sit together!

If you like your seats - don't move! That's my advice. :thumbsu:

I know this is a long shot but is anyone not renewing membership and would like to transfer it? PM me please if you do. I have finally managed to turn my sister into a dockers supporter. Only took about a decade lol.
