Michael Voss - most inspirational player in the AFL ?

I might be biased as i've always been a vossy fan although i follow geelong but how the hell could this champion who'se had a great season (not as good as last year or 96 admittedly) miss a spot in the all-aussie team. How the hell did andy kellaway get a spot ahead of a champ like M.Voss. It's a joke. i'm happy with fletcher at full back as well, although i maintain that Ben graham or Silvangi should have been named at chb ahead of that twitn from richmond (gaspar)- anyway i think m.voss could win another brownlow, anyone see his game against adeladie - senstational !!!! i wish he played for geelong. he has so much heart and skill.

Michael is a deadset champion in every sense of the word.. the thing that makes him so great is that not only is he a genius and inspiration on the field. It's that when he's off the field he's equally as great a person. Everyone that I know that's ever come in contact with the man loves him. A good honest nice guy..

I dunno about the most inspirational... i think there are several in the afl that are in that elite top rung of players that no matter what our team biasses are we can't help but see them for the brilliant players they are.. Voss, Hird, Kelly, etc..

Vut I cannot for the life of me understand how Mike Voss was left out of the AA team ?

m voss is my most inspiring player
he is brave(sometimes i have to look away when i see him do something courageous & team inspiring,like throwing his whole battered body over an opposition players boot to smother a kick), sure & competetive & just gets on with the job without bignoting himself.
paul kelly is great too.

Voss is a champion, no doubts about that - and I think he's just been wonderful for footy in general and in Brisbane who I've heard really tries hard to promote the game up north. Although I heard a rumour that Brett Voss is going to be traded by the Lions this year - maybe he didnt get enough chances and wants to play more regular footy.

i know both Paul Kelly and Michael Voss are similar sort of players, however what sets Vossy above Kelly is his kicking and disposal of the ball. Kelly often turns the ball over, which is no fault of his, but i've rarely if ever seen Voss kick the ball directly to an uncontested opponent. I saw kelly do that once or twice at shell stadium. IF voss fires up this finals series, than the Lions are my tip for the premiership. he's the one player apart from Wayne Carey that could tear Essendon apart
