In 2011 which midfield would you prefer? If you had to pick one midfield up and place into your team.

Note - Also wanted Sherman and Adams on the list above but the poll options would not allow. Thanks

bulldogs mids are far better

Based on what - this is on the 2011 form?

Goldy is having a better season than Hudson
Wells is having a better season than Cooney
Griffen and Swallow are having a similar season.
Boyd and Harvey is having a similar season.
Bastinac is coming back from injury and Cross is having a poor year.
Ward may have Ziebell covered but Jack is catching up.

Far better?

Not sure that I am whinging becasue I questioned your statment. I am sure you have a good reason why the Dogs are so far in front. But stay brave and keep it to yourself:thumbsu::thumbsu:

This year?

Norths midfield.

3 of the players you've listed for us are well down on form for varying reasons. Hudson - Too old, cooney - injury plagued, cross - Too slow/old/can't kick.

With Cooney injured and Cross having an average year our midfield doesnt look as good as it used to. Griffen and Boyd have been tops but even with our youngsters coming through we are really missing that x factor that Griffen and Cooney bring. I would love to see Cooney shake his injuries and get back to his best.

North Melbourne's, by a considerable margin as well.

Cooney is constantly injured and past his best, Cross is slow and can't kick, Boyd is an ineffective stat whore. Griffen and Ward are the only two quality players in the Doggies midfield. It's a midfield that completely wilts under any decent pressure as well, no surprise that most these blokes (Griffen aside) have very unflattering records in crunch finals.

Goldstein, Wells, Swallow and Harvey are all in great form and Ziebell will be one of the better midfielders in the comp going forward. No brainer. It will be interesting to see how they fare in the post Harvey era though, you still feel they rely on him too much to stand up and take charge. Ideally you'd like Wells to step up and fill the void, but his record suggests that is probably unlikely.

I'd go Dogs midfield now.

But North's is looking very good in the years to come.

That's about what I'd say. The only thing I'd say in our own defence is a lot of our kids have mature bodies, in fact some of the biggest at the club but I'm aware that doesn't equate to the brain all the time, especially at their age. But I think we have the Bullies covered. And I can't wait for the game.

Based solely on the Bulldogs players form, injuries, etc. when compared to that of North I side with North Melbourne.

The Bulldogs right now have more ready talent but injuries and lack of form have seen them be not quite as convincing as that of the Roos. North's mids also have a lot more potential.

Used to rate you as a fairly decent footy mind, but the bolded just show you are becoming a pretty lazy and ineffective troll.

Judging on todays performance you'd have to say that Norths midfield tore the Doggies a new arseh*le. Goldstein, Ziebull,Wells and Swallow all dominating.
