Eddie's been awesome. Starting off as a 18 year old crumbing forward is a tough gig at this level, because your opportunities are always going to be scarce. Pagan, and latter Ratten, started including Eddie in out midfield rotation, and not only has he been awesome in that role, but it has given him confidence, and his crumbing performance improved also. His endurance was a massive problem initially, but he's improved that a lot. The way he roves the pack is awesome - within a fraction of a second he gets boot to ball, and converts a half chance from an impossible situation into a goal. Lightening reflexes. His defensive efforts are great as well, and have resulted in many many turnovers and Blues goals. Still only 21 years old, but has a massive amount of upside.

milne carried that side when they didn't have quality forwards and has been freakishly accurate, i think one year he went on a 40 goal 0 behinds streak. Milne by a distance.

Betts puts a lot of defensive pressure on up forward and plays up the middle a bit. He's had a good year so far.

And that right there is why Betts will win this poll. It should be plain as day to any keen football watchers that Milne is better than Betts, yet people will let their hate for Milne override rational thought and vote for Betts. Unfortunately the amount Milne is better than Eddie is slightly less than the amount Eddie is better liked than Milne.

This poll needs to become a series, something like 'Well liked mediocre Carlton forward pocket vs clearly better but universally hated pocket from other club' with the next installment being 'Who is better: Farmer or Wiggins?' It will be intriguing to see how many people vote for Wiggins because Farmer is a bastard whilst Wiggins is a top bloke.

when betts kicks 12 in a game then come say he is better. wich he never will(milne has) and if im right the team we played against that game was a top 4 team in the brisbane lions.so milne by a long wayy .and i dont think betts has won a game of his own boot this year??sure milney make mistakes but he kicks 2-3 goals a game nd every now n then 5-7
