It sounds like RE got some BS information. I rate Brown as much as anyone but to have an opportunity to gain a second best 17 old in the country in return for him would be one of our best trades ever.

Wouldn't be a direct trade for Brown I'd imagine. We'd have to supplement it with our first rounder at the very least.

Hogan is extremely likely to be a better player than brown. He also has many more AFL seasons left in him. And Seargent peppers and the lonely hearts club is regarded by many as the greatest album of all time so i'd go with that.
Yep, a top 20 draft pick in his 6th season, which is about half a career at our club, has managed 50 games. If we get the chance to reset and go again, we should take it.
Everyone keeps jumping around saying it would be brown for hogan, thats absolute bullshit. You can guarantee that it would also include our first round pick. In fact i'll take any bets on a 3-1 basis.

Newman and Shep have still got to win a spot too.
Losing a bit of KPD for a potential top 5 pick doesn't seem like too much to pay IMO. Rather chase a really promising mid / forward than retain Brown.
If we need KPD depth we can maybe look to McGovern or even Hooker at the Bombers may be on the move.

Everyone seems to be set on Hogan, but surely another young gun mid is more of a pressing need with Darling, McInnes, McGovern and Lycett around, not to mention Kennedy who isn't exactly old. I know we could switch McInnes down back (not that I'm a big fan of that idea) and the latter three might not end up making it, but doubling down with another key forward prospect could blow up in our faces.
I think we'd have much more use for a blue chip midfielder to come into the team as Kerr and Embley retire and Priddis gets into the 29+ range.
With that in mind we'd probably hope that Martin is available, otherwise Sheed or another midfield prospect.

Yes it seems that Josh Kelly has maybe passed Martin as the preferred choice at No 1 amongst the VIC clubs leaving Martin , Hulk Hogan or Sheed as our choices at mini pick No 2 . Dont think this will happen for WCE because Brown loves it at WCE , is content and happy in Perth and wishes to stay for good .

no1bankteller, I should of been more clear it would be brown and probaly our first pick to get that second minidraft pick.
GWS want a key KPD and brown is one they have targeted.
It will be a hard sell if WCE go for it, as Brown does love Perth, and is Glass's natural replacement when he retires.
I personally think its a gamble I would take, as its the opportunity to get more elite talent at the club.
Whether WCE see it that way is another story.
