Anyone hear Thommo on 6PR this morning? He was talking about the trade season. I think they just finished talking about West Coast when I tuned in and I am not sure if he was praising their recruiting of last years old farts.
Went on to say that our trading and drafting hasn't been that great and that we still haven't recruited a KPF since Pav and therefore we were unlikely to improve. He then proceeded to contradict himself by saying that Richmond won a flag with out a dominant forward and that Pav himself, N Reiwoldt, Buddy et al have been kept quiet during finals implying that a KPF wasn't the be all and end all.
Just verbal diarrhea and an obvious void filler. That's all that journos are these days.

People who don't watch us play properly and try to critique our off-season by defaulting to saying "Failure because they couldn't land a KPF" are complete morons. The reality is a true KPF would be handy but it's not making or breaking our team or the true result of our lack of "scoring power".
We still scored more this year without Pavlich playing, not playing Taberner for a majority of the year and losing Walters + Ballantyne for decent portions of the season. You take out the first two rounds of 2017 and our 3 100Pt losses (Games we were clearly checked out off) then our % becomes much better than 2016.
You watch next year if we're not playing the "1st Target KPF" we need from trading in but we have Taberner playing 22 games, Bennell + Walters up and running, add goal sneak Matera and have more people rotating through the midfield we will have a % of 95+ at least by the end of the season guarantee.

In a 23 regular season game streak from round 12 2014 to round 14 2015 Nat Fyfe was voted best on ground 14 times and received a total of 48 brownlow votes. In round 15 2015 Fremantle lost to Hawthorn and Fyfe was 'accidentally' kneed by Mitchell.

Collingwood dropped them last year too. From what I've heard of their techniques, they're a bit full on confronting and weird.

Its about open and honest conversations and accountability
There's a point where being honest can go to far and it ends up nasty.
It's a process of honest and rational feedback in tandem with a top to bottom transparent goal setting model from what I know.
Bit of the ol' "get everything we can out of every molecule" stuff but the club is talking about introducing more specific skills coaches who will need to be paid for so maybe we're happy we have the template and will grow our own Leading Team?
They've been there for a while so I guess we've got the gist and the personnel to keep it rolling if we still believe it's still a valuable model.

That's where having a framework and trust comes in. It's not something you can implement straight away by saying 'hey guys were all going to be brutally honest with each other now. I'll start. Suban you're an idiot, ballas change your shoes you dingbat'

Good player, was excited about him playing this season (after recovering from broken wrist in his previous year). Unfortunately (from a Freo perspective) he needs to get home. You will have a good player on your hands for a low price.
I'm a bit of an outlier here but I massively rate him, genuinely believe he will overtake Neale, I think in a few years Oliver/balic/petracca will be the best mid trio in the comp

Ps I'm jealous of you guys getting Wilson. He is genuinely the most damaging kick in the AFL from inside D50
Although probably a bit of a stretch - people compare his inside work to having similar awareness and sidestep in heavy traffic as Pendles.
He can look pretty silky at times.
