MIitch Thorp and Beau Dowler, two high drafts picks . Why can't they get game ? Are they struggling at Box Hill ? Especially Mitch Thorp this kid can play, would be getting a game at any other club.

think about it. two forward. one a big strong kid who is a good pack/contested mark, one extremely agile, enormous pace.
see why they might struggle ahead of two established players with veyr very similar atributes.
perhaps Carlton can fork out a heap for them, even then, they aint going nowhere.

Thorp signed until end of 2010, Dowler 2009.
I think it's fair to say they'll get more game time over the next couple, Stylus. If they don't start getting more game time in the next couple of years they would be stupid to stay at Hawthorn.

Thorp hasn't been fit enough to play at afl level yet. Hasn't had a preseason in his 2 years at the club.wow keeping the two off the team cos of franklin and roughead. wow these guys must feel awesome they wont be kicked off yet they wont be picked.
His car crash was actually before we drafted him. We picked him with a long term view that we probably wouldn't get much out of him in the first 2 or 3 years. Same with Beau Muston but unfortunately he did his knee again. Was showing good signs in the nab cup too.I watched Dowler against Geelong playing for Box Hill earlier this year & he looked dangerous.
He suffered pretty bad injuries in a car crash just after he was drafted. That didn't help.
Can play though. As can Thorp. Remember him kicking a few on Harley in the VFL last year.
Would love to see the dogs try and lure say Thorp but its doubtful (which we give us 3 promising young kpp fowards developing) but if anything we'll probably try and lure Dawson (is he still on your list).
No way would we let thorp go. Just signed for 2 years and is apparently happy to be at hawthorn. Just needs to get his body right. Expect to see him in the backline next year.Would love to see the dogs try and lure say Thorp but its doubtful (which we give us 3 promising young kpp fowards developing) but if anything we'll probably try and lure Dawson (is he still on your list).
