Speaking of 'beast like', who would you all rank as the top 3 "Beast Mode" Players?

Pav v Geelong in 2012 at the 'G?
DerbyPav?
McPhee?

Troy Cook was beast mode in a different sort of way. And not so much 'mode' as normal state.

I re-watched a few games from 2010 and Mora was playing like a grown man from the get go.

If I told you to recollect the last time a Freo player put a strong fend off with the ball in hand against another A grade midfielder could you think of any other than Mora?
I'm sure players like Mundy and co have done it before, but what Mora was doing in his debut year, stands out.

Pav does it with regularity, but yeah I can't think of anyone else on our team other than Mora who has the strength as well as the arrogance to use the don't argue.

Its a mix of arrogance, aggression and courage that makes a good "Beast Mode". Mora certainly ticks all the boxes.
Players like Mundy, Fyfe and Barlow don't seem to have that arrogance or aggression but make up for it in other areas that Mora doesn't.

Stewie Dew's Hawks GF is a good Beast Mode example to me.
Our game plan doesn't really promote BM action. you could come off half back, kick a bag of 6 in 5 minutes and still get a spray from RTB for not sticking to structures.

I'm going a bit crazy in the post-season.

Lower was another that was great but had a kick that was ugly like a beast.

Sounds like we need a 'Morabito: Keeping it real' thread - where we can post videos of his shanks, being run down from behind, and other lowlights to balance out expectations a bit :)

For what it's worth I truly hope he reaches the potential he started to show - but a long road to reach that yet!

Tennis would actually be a very good test of the knee, a game that requires constant and abrupt directional changes and lots of 360 degree running. Obviously not a sports scientist and don't know how seriously he actually plays but tennis is way more stressful on knees than footy is, particularly on a hard or synthetic court.

I can only assume he at least has some confidence in his knee which is a positive.

If that's Mora playing tennis, the club would be horrified.

He couldn't be that reckless.

The post was originally listed on Freo's own website. I reckon the team docs MUST know, and probably approve... which is a very good sign for next year! :-)

On the contrary they are probably happy that Mora is confident and trusting his knee again - he was after all clear to go late this past season, and was held out to reset for 2014. The dastardly mental side of the reco has to be overcome as much as the physical. Would seem to me Mora is ready to hit ground running 2014. Come what may, he is not going to hold back.

And yes mike91 it is Mora at the net and the pic comes from the 'Players in the off-season' the Club puts out.
