Mine is Sidebottom and Blight,

Like Sidebottom because of his Smarts and His Ability on both Side of his body(bit like Didak) and I think he could Develop into a Very Special Player for us.

Blight just has so much Upside about him and it will be exciting to watch him develop in the VFL at Victoria Park next year.

Sidebottom is most likely to come in and get us excited immediately.

Beams is most likely to get us excited with X-Factor, being relatively unknown and unseen compared to the others, in addition to us knowing that we rated him much higher than we got him.

Blight is the most likely to give us a Nathan Brown-style of excitement, where everyone's calling him a dud after his first year, and questioning his drafting, only to have him come out after that and have a terrific season.

“Laser” Beams for mine. Was really keen on him pre draft and rapt he was still there for us to pick at 29. Just seems like the tough ball magnet we need to help fill the void left by the retirement of SSB. How about that gather, spin and dish off in his highlights package!

Plus just read an article from a Qld paper about the two drafted Qld players (posted in another thread) where he is quoted as saying:

"I'm just so relieved and so excited. It's a dream come true, exactly what I was hoping for," Beams said. "I can say it now - I really wanted to go to Collingwood. I got to know them all pretty well before the draft and they're a fantastic group of people and the facilities at Collingwood are sensational."

Beams will become a cult hero for the Collingwood faithful. Lets hope he continues with the ink work down his right arm as well.

Anyway, obviously, my pick was Brown. Because I see him as a 10-year ruckman for us who will assist us in winning a few flags ala Keating for the Lions where he just crashes and bashes the thing straight to advantage.

He will add to his 181-game tally to become a 428+ game veteran and retire as one of the greats along side Tucky and Bartlett.

Sidebottom easy for me. I dead set fell in love with this kid while watching that TAC grand final. I really hope he can become something real special. Im also very excited by Beams, SSB replacement. Im more confident on Beams though.
