Moving to Tassie

How so?

I've lived in Hobart my whole life.
It's got everything you need but without the frantic pace of Sydney and Melbourne.
Don't get me wrong they are great to visit but i wouldn't want to live there.

I prefer the colder climate and the scenery as well.

Visit Wine Glass Bay!

Hows the property market in Hobart what would be a medium price you think?

Had any expreience on the East coast lads?

Finding work on the east coast will be a challenge. If I could find work down there, I'd move in an instant!

It would be a pain in the arse $$$ wise wanting/needing to return to Mainland.

As in permanently or to visit? Generally ~100-150 gets you return to Sydney

If there were more jobs I'd move to Tasmania in a flash. Love the place scenery-wise. Hobart is a great little city.
I was the same.

But friends, family, Essendon etc are here. Its a pain in the ass and eventually wears you down.

Every one of my mates who moved outtve tas has said so.

Basically perth minus the weather and a mining boom. A very "white" state too

No it's not. Tasmania is beautiful.

Its economy is just very sector-limited and of course the small population and the fact half the land is more or less uninhabitable limits growth.

Have fun with changing planes in Melbourne. How is there not a direct flight from Adelaide to Hobart?

Baffling.
Actually driving and taking the ferry. Going to make it a week trip. I do agree on the flights though.

You can buy for $130k? What the actual ****.

200 results for houses/apartments/townhouses in Tasmania. Seems like a nice round number, maybe the search maxes out at 200

Ok random thought dont wanna over take this fred.

What would the process and cost of bring home a puppie from tassie? I guess some quarantine is one of the process.
If you travel on the Spirit of Tasmania the travel is simple ovenight 7 days a week most of the year. You can just put a dog in the overnight kennel and collect when you disembark in the morning.
Very minimal cost and you can check it out at spiritoftasmania.com.au

the local Hotel, feel etc...

Thoughts and advice would be appreciated...thanks guys.
I moved state about a year and a bit ago
I thought about Tazzie for a while
Its 2 cold
High level of ignorance ( not unique 2 tazzie )
Low population growth
Prop prices inflation might not cover basic inflation

North Hobart is a noice little suburb.

Back in 1999 my future wife and I rented a three bedroom brick Edwardian in Argyle St, North Hobart for $120 per week. It was across the road from North Hobart Oval.
