Suppose your team made it to the NAB Cup Grand final.

What do you think is more important?

Winning the NAB Cup GF on the proviso that you will lose round 1 of the H&A Season.

Or winning Round 1 of the H&A season and losing the NAB Cup GF.

IMO Round 1 is more important.

It may be the difference between making the 8.

Any pre-season game whether it be the NAB GF or a practice match in Mildura means nothing come round 1. It's all history.

Give me the 4 points over the prize money anyday.

Yep, definitely Round 1. I would love to see a few wins in the NAB cup though.

He ain't offering a NAB Cup win, only a final berth.

Hence I'd take the Round 1 win in a heartbeat.

EDIT: Ok, he's saying a win in the title and a GF berth in the question... whatever Collingwood don't need the money. Round 1 it is.

Powelly you know my answer..unless we played you girls in the Granny ;)

last year i would of said winning the 1st game of the h&a season, but with the extra million dollars for the nab cup winners this year, im gonna go with winning the nab cup...
because melbourne needs the money

Definately a win in round 1, it would give our young players a great feel for winning a proper game not some game in a competition that means jack crap.

I bet you've said that once or twice over the last five seasons.

I'd take the win in Round 1, because we are playing Sydney and it is their turn to win.

"The AFL's top clubs now have greater incentive to take the upcoming pre-season NAB Cup more seriously than ever given they now have the chance to win a $1 million bonus put up by NAB and Toyota by winning the NAB Cup-AFL premiership double."

The prizemoney for the NAB Cup alone is $220,000. Take note.

You've already done that, and look where it got you!

Whilst we didn't have a great year, at least winning the Wizard Cup was a highlight for us which is more than I can say for the pies that year.

It also gave some of our young kids some much needed confidence. And considering we beat West Coast at pretty much full strength.... I will definately take that win :D:thumbsu:

I'd rather finish fifth than win the NAB Cup. A real finals appearance is worth a lot more in terms of experience than a NAB Cup final, and given you finished dead last I'm guessing any confidence you gained probably didn't last terribly long.

The Pies beat West Coast, Sydney and your boys incidentally.
