Hard to tell if he'll be a long term player or not. It's a bit early but he seems to be struggling a bit the last 3 weeks. We are absolutely desperate for some forwards. We only have 2 spots on the forward line which you can say is filled for the future. That's Reiwoldt and Morton taking the pocket and full forward. Hopefully Post shows good signs over the next 10 weeks and plays up forward.

This is his first pre season and his first year playing seniors. I am not surprised he has hit the wall at this time of year. The body needs time to adjust.

He's a gun. May need a spell before the 22 is out though, fair enough.

No it's not, he has played VFL.

Yes, he's a gun, probably needs a little more developing but has given all I can ask for from a first year player.

Needs plenty more time playing in the Richmond 22. Certainly has the talent, just needs to work on his kicking for goal and to know when to and when not to take a shot for goal and when to pass it off.

TBH too I don't think there is anyone who can replace his run, attitude and defensive (Frontal) pressure on the ball and the player. Hislop and Nahas in the forward line certainly brings a lot more tackling pressure and hardness for the footy.

At the hotel where we have our breakfast and dindins and free alcohol every night  there's computers where we I go on net for 10 minutes. Then off to Rub n Tugs and all that stuff ;)

From what I've seen of him he looks like he has the skills to be a good player. Young players will tend to have ups and down in form, particularly if he didn't have a full pre-season.

We have a similar player in Tex Walker who has hit a bit of a wall lately too, and has been dropped this week.

A spell in the Magoos will definitely not hurt his development at this stage in his career though IMO.

Will he be?...no..he already is a player which is exactly why he is finding it harder in past few weeks. He would be on opposing teams radar now and getting much more attention. His biggest problem now is to be able to develop without the weight of idiotic Tigerhead expectation on him. So long as no one calls him a gun or elite or untradeable or AA standard or the siolution to our forward structure for the next season or so he will be great.

i like him and i hope he makes it but he is a stupid footballer. he blazes away for goal when he has a much better option. he passes it off when it is his turn and he should kick it. he never picks the right option when he is on the wing and we are on the attack. and he always plays on and runs 10 meters sideways and that acheives nothing. but you can fix some of them up and that will make him a much better footballer.

This is true. I hated his game against WCE.

robin nahas is not a stupid footballer. he is actually very creative and smart. he has made a lot more right choices so far in his short career than bad ones. its his first year there are going to be mistakes but he is very smart.

So now you think the VFL and AFL are one and the same in terms speed, intensity and competition?

good call. Everyone maeks mistakes and I think Nahas has done lots of positive things this year with only a few mistakes

VFL is senior footy. That is a fact.
In AFL terms it isn't... hence the AFL side being referred to as "the seniors"....if, like Geelong & Collingwood, we had our own VFL side , you wouldn't call them "the seniors" would you...Coburg is no different...

..as for Nahas...at this stage not sure if he'll be a long-term/permanent starter in the first 22, but at the very least he's looks like a step in the right direction with regards to what should be the quality of our depth players....e.g. Nahas > Pettifer

Which Hotel is that?

I'll be over there next week :)....

Senior footy is not a relative term. VFL is not at the same level as the AFL but it is still senior footy. It was the top level he could play at, therefore making it senior.

NBL is still senior basketball, even if the NBA makes them look like a team of uncoordinated short people flailing wildly in the direction of a basketball.
