If her gets an offer that sets him up for his future i would be happy for him and the pick we get would depend on what GC have at the time thats around the 20-30 range. Richmond dont get in the way of player trying to get to their new clubs and usually facilitate the move with little fuss

He was a very good contributor in 2 flags and the last 5 years and his loyalty and efforts whilst getting pain on the lower end of our scale should not go un rewarded.

Cap is not tight we have the Rance $$$ spare now he has retired 2 years early saving roughly $750k a year

Even if there is cap room, someone like a Broad probably isn't where you'd spend it. It will be used to keep the Shai Bolton, Noah Balta types hoepfully.

It will all come down to how much he wants to stay with the Tigers vs $$$. He's already got the flags.

I think it might take a bit more than $100,000/year. Remember he will likely only see $50,000 of that after agent fees + tax.

What would you offer Broad? I'm guessing he's around the 300 mark for 3-4 years?


As for George...who are our current small forwards, and which of them is playing better than George in 2020? Who has out-played George of a 3 year period?

He's not in great form but neither are any of them except for maybe Aarts.

Flank or pocket, could slot into most back 6 roles, anyone could use him its just who has the need, an up and coming finals challenger would be best fit. I reckon he could do really well as another Gold Coast addition, but I hope we keep him as he's just such a reliable name to pencil in every week to do a job.

Really? We got a comparable player for free in Walker last off season, Ben McKay has started to show some great form and apparently we are right in the mix for Corr as FA.

Can't imagine we would be looking to give up any draft capital for an OOC Broad while rebuilding.

FWIW I think Ellis has had a good year overall. Just sit him on a wing and get to work. Isn't going to win us games off his own boot, but I have been pretty happy with his output.

Broad would have been handy last night, Graham is a work in progress and Ballard is a 3rd up interceptor, being stuck as the 2nd defender with Thompson out injured. I would be happy to welcome Broad in to add a bit more steel to our backline.

I think that is more a decision based on match ups and the fact he has played every game through the “frenzy”.

The bombers have a pretty small forward line and the conditions in Darwin will likely be slippery.

I think most would agree Broad is definitely a best 22 player for the tigers.

I think you guys looked tired last night. , a couple fresh bodys like 2mp may have helped ....but if Broad would be in your best22 when all are fit then fine ... its how much and what does it cost you.
