I gotta say that the Ponies should foul a lot harder under the basket. How many times did Miami get a soft "and 1" when the Dallas player was trying to actually get out of the way. If the refs are gonna call them anyway you may as well hammer the guy.

That one Chandler gave on LBJ was a prime example of that.

Mavs made too many bonehead plays down the stretch to win it, even though they had every opportunity. And while it's only game one, i'm prepared to suggest this one is over.

LP probably realised that some people paid $25 for potentially 4 games, so must have thought they will make enough money without shoving ads down their throat. I personally love it. No 'Rookie Dwyane wade', no 'Bird with the steal, lays it off to DJ, who lays it up and in. This crowds gone crazy'. Its bliss.

The sports bar to the right of the TAB/huge screen at Crown shows the games. It gets pretty full though so if you want a good seat get there early.

The Pub at Crown on level 2 will also have it on but no one really goes there to watch it, just have lunch.

Surprises from game 1:

Heat bench outscoring Dallas bench...
Dallas was supposed to have the better bench. Lebron completely smothered Terry. Thought he might take Marion but great move by Spo to put him on Terry. Take Terry out of this series by Lebroning him is a great idea.

Heat 3 point shooting better than Dallas 3 point shooting... Kidd/Peja/Dirk/Terry/Deshawn/Barea can all hit the 3. Snake Chalmers is streaky and Miller has been shocking in the other series from the 3. Forgot that LeWade can still hit a few... Especially Lebron with 4/5.

Haslem/Joel guarding Dirk...
I assumed Bosh would get this assignment like past 2 times they played. Once again good move from Spo. With Joel/Haslem he has 2 good defenders and 12 fouls. Keeps Bosh fresh to play help D and concentrate on O.
