I thought Davis was on the verge of finding the goals versus the Saints, so I'm tipping Leon to go off this week versus Richmond.

4 goals.

Yeah sure would have been a confidence booster and against a team we will be playing in the finals. I agree I think he is going to carve up Bitchmond this week.

As long as he keeps up the work rate I'll be happy. I thought he was brilliant accross half forward and in the middle last week against the Saints. Set up a few goals with beautiful kicks too.

Unlucky he had one goal taken off him last week too....

It's no coincidence that his best games have been after he has had a break.

He tried very hard in the Sydney game, and he had a week off before last weeks Saints game, and it showed.

He is obviously carrying an injury, but it would seem a more "wear and tear" injury that anything major.

He is one player who definitely will be rested at least once more before the finals IMO.

He is so important to our gameplan though, as shown on the weekend, we are now the league leaders when it comes to forward pressure, and without Dick or Meds in the side, Leon is crucial to that pressure.

I thought it was one of the best overall performances he has put in as a forward pocket the other day, even though he only got the 1 goal.

Still a vital part of our team.:thumbsu:

oh man, that is one of the funniest things I've heard in years!!! I can't believe I've been watching/going to the footy for over 20 years and I've never heard that.

But on topic. Leon did really look like he was getting his touch back. Couldn't have timed it better. He played pretty well in a big game. Hopefully he can take that confidence into the finals this year.

Who is likely to play on him this weekend? I can honestly say I have a very limited knowledge of Richmond's back six.

I think he kicked a couple in our last win over them so I wouldn't be surprised if he does the same again.

kicked 4, love to see that scoreline again

been going to the footy since early 80's, and I'd only heard it a few years back, same reaction :thumbsu:

only just heard Geepong actually

Geepong looks ok in print, but when you say it, it's very meh.

Bitchmond is just f**king perfection.

Can't believe I never heard it earlier or even though to say it myself. So obvious.

So gonna say it non-stop at the footy on Saturday.

If any of you sit in the AFL members around Q18 Level 4 and you hear someone yelling Bitchmond, that's me.

Glad to see I brought a smile to your face Ed.

Something I have said for awhile. It suits the team and more so the band wagon supporters. Look at the Trent Cotchin issue this week a lot of Bitchmond coming from Punt Road this week.

Man seriously, I"m asking everyone around the office, and no one has heard of it.

Even the Richmond supporter I work next to hasn't heard of it and laughed.

I can't believe I never thought of it. It's so damn obvious.

How can you have been reading this site since 2007 and not seen 'Bitchmond' once?

If it is an injury then hopefully like you said we can give him a few weeks rest leading into finals. While he wasn't what he was last year, I thought last week he showed signs of it again. A few times he would just track the ball and wait for the right moment and use his speed + scooping it up with one hand and he was away.

While his pressure in the fwd line has been fantastic, if he can get his body and/or form right, our fwd line will lift another couple of gears

Perfect oppurtunity for him against a young side, should dominate.
here's hoping leroy to get a half dozen. :thumbsu:

His beautiful goal assists at the Saint Kilda game showed us that he still had his magical skills.

Now he just needs to get his confidence up to kick goals once more. This should be the ample opportunity to do so.

Hoping to hear the commenators saying, "Of course he can... ITS NEON LEON!" once more. :thumbsu:

200 gamer in a few games as well, huh?

Would love to be there for that.

Out of all the milestones this year, this one (next week against the Scum) has to be the highlight.

For what Leon has meant to this club, through the bad times and the good, you would always know you would get some excitement out of watching Leon on a weekly basis.

The stretch he went through in the middle of last year, was staggeringly good, especially for a player who has been so maligned, by so many.

I love what he has bought for this football club, and I know as a fact he has won more games off his own boot then any Collingwood player I have seen since Daicos.

I will be on my feet at 2.00pm next week, maybe even with a little tear in my eye when Leon joins the 200 club.:thumbsu:
