well you live and learn..I thought it was hard enough to GIVE AWAY powa tickets
They probably count them as crowd numbers also..lots of trickery with crowd numbers and memberships and hard to compare apples with apples. Crows for years had the most paid up full 11 game members (approx 45k worth) but this may have been overtaken in recent years by Pies/Tigers/Hawks etc

As an aside, I remember attending a Kangas game on GC 7-8 years ago when they were playing a few games up there per year. I was offered a free Kangas membership on the day and I asked why as a crows supporter would I possibly take up the membership offer. The rather tidy specimen then pleaded with me saying it was helping her/Kanagas out as this free membership would count in their official membership totals which were about to close.

Olympic and WNBA basketballer Erin Phillips will follow in her eight-time premiership winning father Greg by one day playing for Port Adelaide [pic: PAFC/Kane Chenoweth]

Once you get them in the guernsey people have a tendency of turning around pretty quickly.
Saw her at the grand final fully decked out in Crows gear.

What are the odds that he'll choose to be part of our academy though? Port might miss out but doesn't mean we'll get him.

Why wouldn't he? It's a leg up for his career to be apart of an academy, especially one ran by a good development club.

He's stupid not to.

Genuine question. Why do crows fans think they should have had access to the son of a West Australian footballer who never donned a crows guernsey?

The only stake you had on him was the arbitrary splitting of sanfl clubs if I’m not mistaken.

That should means sweet **** all. We have access to him currently and that's really the end of it seeing he doesn't meet the requirements to be available to Port, and is apart of our zone.

Much like how we lost Gibbs to that stupid ruling, it's your turn to brunt some pain to it.

While the Crows never selected any FS players from SANFL affiliations, there were a few who they looked at and ultimately rejected.

We would have had a lot more FS players if the Grandfather rule had been introduced in 1990, not 2007. We would have had Luke Darcy, Chad & Kane Cornes, and several others as well.

Matt and Jono Robran

His choice is join our Academy and get.elite training and guidance at a young age.

Or go into the draft with the possibility of ending up anywhere.

By 2020 Port could be in contention for the wooden spoon as their players age and Kenny still there. Making the draft a good option for him.

Or he could discover girls. Or boys not that there is anything wrong with it.

So I wouldn't be popping champagne corks now about getting him.

That can only happen if/when Borlase Jr. agrees to join the academy or when he gets drafted.

Not being eligible for Father/Son is colossal backfire on Rucci enough.

Ultimately it was his search for Gibbs "clarification" that made this ineligibility apparent.

Rucci on AA saying he doesnt care about Gibbs not getting to Adelaide as he should have been a Glenelg FS not Adelaide. Yep and James should be a Oort Magpies FS and not the Powa.

Has anyone actually asked him on radio whether he informed the AFL re Gibbs? Happy to volunteer if not.

He does not admit to informing. He has stated that he sought "clarification" regarding Gibbs.

Rucci's doublespeak would do George Orwell proud.

Being able to play football at the highest level in the same state where your father made a name for himself is probably a privilege that most young footballers would love to have, it's selfish for some Port fans to think the sons of their players should be the only ones entitled to that privilege.

Either we have a fair and equitable Father/Son rule for all, or we have none at all.

The west Australia that never donned a crows guernsey I was referring to was Ross Gibbs.

He ended up playing 200+ games in SA which makes him a primarily SA based player, and due to his affiliations should have been ours. Where he originated from means sweet **** all, nor if he donned our guernsey seeing the ruling states we represent a certain selection of SANFL clubs.

Your point is just asinine and completely misses what a father son is about.
