Will be interesting to see the Bergs kick into gear now it's finals time. Arguably you could say they played around with a few things later in the season to test some players, give some a taste, etc. Now it's show time and as we have seen in the past few years, this is when the Berg 'flex'.

That said, nothing is a given in finals and Boro very good last week against the Bears, but will have to play out of this world to take it up to the Berg you would think.

Heidelberg with as good a local footy side as you will see. Like what Greensborough are doing but the Bergs will do it all too easy. Just a class above

The teams are up on PlayHQ, the only U19 is Carafa and he's already played senior footy

The NFL site states that he received 5 weeks?
If that is the case an unsuccessful appeal would attract an additional week?

Given local leagues follow the AFL protocols a high hit resulting in concussion and a broken jaw you would expect 6 weeks? I reckon I would take the 5 and run. This is really only 4 for the hit + 1 for the 3rd yellow card isnt it?

Anyone tell me why its Rough Conduct and not Striking? They need to start clarifying Rough conduct in the findings so people know what it actually is and put a reason beside the charge .

I think he got 5 for rough conduct and the 1 is just an automatic addition but not stated (I am guessing after being told he got 6)
No you do not get extra weeks for appealing. Only appealing a set penalty offer.

Like a lot of people on this forum I am concerned about Heidelbergs ability to be competitive in DIV1 if their money dries up in 3 or 4 years. Fortunately there is some promising signs as the Heidelberg under 19's just won their final by a lazy 10 goals to proceed to the Grand final in 2 weeks time.
With a little luck they may get an injection of some good young talent and find away to remain competitive in the future.
