Ivanhoe and Laurimar have created a fairly significant gap between the rest.

Those teams remaining would be best served to save there pennies and wait for 2027 much like the teams in Div 1 are doing.
Laurimar have lost a couple haven’t they? Or at least not signed yet, I reckon they’d be breaking even at best at this stage.

Short of the NFNL shaking up the points system or an A380 going down with their seniors and reserves team in it, Heidelberg can start celebrating 2026 and 2027 flags I would have thought

I thought only Herbert and Clarke missing from last year and have picked up some with potentially the 3rd Waldron on the way. JD a very good player still.

From their socials (who knows if current)

McCall and Wilson are yet to be announced as signed. They may well be, but I’d imagine they’d be one of the earliest to be announced if so.

Point being the teams between 3-8 are probably best to keep there pennies in a term deposit box and open it n 12 months. I’m not sure those teams are getting any
better.

Are the 10-12 Ivanhoe lads who played seniors this season & wont get a game next season , sticking around? If so huge depth.
I'm told - two will finish up, 3 O/S for a little bit mid year. Apart from that - everyone onboard and looking to improve so who misses out - we will see.

Ivanhoe the first team to recruit 10 and drop points.
Great for Ivanhoe. But rules need adjusting, for many reasons and this is a prime example.

Clubs shouldn't be rewarded for players growing up in their area and playing at their club as kids. But then spend the better part of 10 years at other senior clubs collecting coin. When they finally decide to go back, all good lets forget that you played here when you were 12. Spare me. Needs a cap on years or games away from the junior club imo.

Not sure if I agree with that.

End of the day Ivanhoe made it very clear they were returning to the NFNL to get their juniors back. This is it in play.

Not blaming Ivanhoe. Saying rule needs adjusting for players who have played years or 100s of games at other clubs at senior level. They are no longer kids or juniors and havent been for years, dont see why it should be rewarded.

Other clubs poach players and shouldn’t be essentially rewarded for that by removing the home grown players points advantage
