Be no.1 strategy for any club wanting to improve, especially with the talent that actually had left Ivanhoe and played footy elsewhere.

Bringing in 5 on $300 & the 5 who miss out each week are on $100 , means you need to find extra $16000 across the season.

Agree Wastin'. Fill the 'holes' first and then work back from there.

But also have an eye to the future - points, cap, etc. The guys at the club have been building this for a couple of years - spending well under the cap, talking to a lot of past IJFC players (1 pointers) and also some friends of current guys who can help us improve. And we need to - got smacked in finals by Stars and Power.

I think some players have been watching how we go in the first two seasons in NFNL and are now starting to 'consider' us as an option. Nothing more.

I was told Saturday night at SHB that several players have already been told we don't have room cap/points for them in 2026. But it's a good place for our club to be in after the past 20 odd years that have largely been difficult in lower level VAFA.
