Nothing like Borlaise .....similar height, but he's a lean running HB / Wingman

Why I stated Michalanney's a certainty to be "nominated" Father / Son:

1. He has a footballers instinct .....he understands the game
2. Great height & has excellent speed over the 1st 10-15 mtrs
3. I saw a Vic Country player shove him as they ran for a contested ball ......he held his feet, where most players would lose balance, or fall over

You watch him, and everything he does is classy

I agree with the attribute ratings below .....disagree though that Max has to improve composure .....he has that in spades

Hopefully it’s dry on Sunday as I’d like to see Michaelanny take more marks in nationals - he’s averaging 1.5 per game . Most of his intercepts have been ground balls

WW is correct though the crows will nominate him and he is composed , classy etc

I was impressed with a few things , one was he played on Sheezel early and really blanketed him well

And also showed a dash of speed I didn’t know he had chasing down a small

I’m very happy with Michaelanney , will be a more than solid best 22 player and the good news is plenty of smarts and composure which we need

As long as our 2nd pick is not in play to get him, fine. Reckon there will be some handy mids and talls still available at that point of the draft.

mid/late 2nd round onwards I'd think though still a bit to play out with SA vs WA game next week and perhaps a Redlegs League debut in the offering in the run up to the draft..
