Maybe just maybe we have a few earmarked for the draft hence why the likelihood of a larger list turnover is on the cards
Most are for next year Draft, this year we don't have many, only Daniel Sladojevic as they will not be changing the indigenous ruling anytime soon.
Hense why I mention signing a few Older player on 1-year contracts. As Next year become a better Draft for us to grab talent.
in 2020 we have Jackson Edwards, James Borlase, Kye Dean as Possibles. Plus a few noted Players coming out of Contract who may or may not have hinted on a return to SA,

Well that's a bit exciting. Thanks for the clarification too.

Interesting. Also lists Isaiah Dudley, and I've asked the club a couple of times on twitter whether he will be NGA in 2021.

Also lists it here under 'Central District'

The focus of the Crows Academies is on
  • Players aged between 10 years – 18 years,
  • Show talent up to the time they turn 16 years of age
  • Reside in metro SANFL zones aligned to Central District, North Adelaide, Glenelg and Sturt, or…
  • Reside in regional SANFL zones aligned to Central District, North Adelaide, Glenelg and Sturt and APY Lands East
  • Players who’s father/mother played for the Adelaide Football Club

Under the AFL’s Next Generation Academy concept, whilst we embrace participation from players of ALL backgrounds, the AFL does provide draft concessions for players of designated ethnic heritage/father–son under AFL rules:

  • African / Asian – where a player or parent is born in an African or Asian country
  • Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CaLD) – where a player or both parents are born in a non-English speaking country
  • Indigenous – where a player identifies as indigenous in our SANFL aligned zones (see above)

I've highlighted the important bits there. I'm assuming he 'resides' in a area aligned to Central District?

I think i read somewhere on this thread that the 'residing in metro' qualification doesn't apply to indigenous players, only through our 'regional' zones

Has anyone had confirmation on whether Dudley is part of our NGA?

They should just legit set up zones if it's gonna be this easy to get priority access in the draft

Pretty typical that we get pick #1 in the year where the kid unanimously considered the most talented has dibs taken on them by another club

Mutineer
Couldn't say if he's a ruck or forward from watching him but has nice skills.
Ruck/Forward....he's both but you'd have to think there's every likelihood he's going to grow another 10cm or so...

Talented mob us Pt.Augusta "lads"..:p

Look if he grows 10cm and becomes a ruck it's not the worst thing.
Could use a mobile good skilled very tall ruck to compliment who we will likely draft this year.

So can we get a definitive 100% answer somewhere as to whether the Crows have first priority access in future drafts to Isaiah Dudley and Isaac Keelar??
Otherwise who cares if they are part of our NGAs if we dont have priority access.
This whole "secret" nga thing is a joke.

I personally have no idea.

I agree though... what's the point if we don't get first crack?

Really depends on the kid. Many are fully grown by 16. Some only really start then and grow until they are 18-19.

I tend to agree to the club should release this information. By not releasing it, it further reinforces the lack of transparency that exists from club to members which is a big reason why we are where we are. A lack of accountibility due to not dealing with issues openly.
