Who do you think will be the more complete player after seeing their debuts?
Who is/was the more complete player?
Wayne Carey or Adam Goodes?
Carey is one of the best in history, but goodes is the more complete player.
It's funny how he asks 'who will be the most complete player' when all three of Naitanuis kicks were ineffective. If you can't kick, then good luck to you.
Watts was playing in horrid conditions whilst Nat was playing indoors and they still had the same amount of effective posessions. Oh, not to mention they were playing Richmond. This thread will be a fun one to bump in the future, let me tell you that.
Jack = Roughead like, strong marking forward, maybe a little more agile then Roughead but with growth will become a permanent forward.
Naitanuis kicking has always been poor though, that's not just from his first game. You said don't judge them on their first games, why are you doing that?
Watts couldn't be further from Roughead. Watts had the second fastest 20 metre sprint time last year at draft camp and the second fastest agility time. He is far more athletic then a Roughead type.Nick = Buddy Franklin like, basically a freakish player that will rip games apart
Jack = Roughead like, strong marking forward, maybe a little more agile then Roughead but with growth will become a permanent forward.
To begin with, the question is flawed and utterly ridiculous, as it asks to make an assessment of a player's future completeness based on their debuts. So much can happen over the space of a 10 year career and as a result, the question is futile.
I was impressed with NicNat last night, he showed quite a bit, and I thought he was better than Vickery. His lack of general football knowledge is somewhat worrying, but spending the next 10 years in the big league should go a long way to alleviating that issue.
Watts has also been impressive since his arrival at Melbourne. His composure, speed and agility are quite remarkable, so he has a lot of talent to work with.
In both cases, they should be very good for their clubs. To make a comparison at this moment, though, is rather pointless.
