He'd be a good get as head coach. Ridiculous that he'll be an assistant there - shows his quality that he will take any role to still be part of the competition. I'm glad we turned a profit for the year but I hope we know what we are doing.
Worried he might poach a few girls going forward once he gets the top job somewhere?

People here went into a panic frenzy when Scott was let go under the misinformed belief that the players would all storm out in support. That didn't happen. Now you want us to worry that any players will follow him to Collingwood? Look, no-one wanted to bad mouth Scott when he left as he is a nice guy, but the players understood and respected and supported the club's decision. If any of our players end up defecting, it will only be because they are not getting opportunities.

Brad Murphy is a good get. Had a bit to do with him at Cannons last year. Excellent communicator.

The induction period starts on the 4th but official pre-season training doesn't begin until the 18th. I don't know what's been decided about how those sessions will be run, probably depends on how everything else unfolds over the next two weeks. In the meantime, they'll continue to train in their allocated pre-pre-season groups.

Also, for those who missed it: West Coast's women's team have taken a page out of the playbook from their men's team (or is it from our women's team?) by appointing a former player from our men's team as its head coach. That player being the great Daniel Pratt, of course.

YOUNG Kangaroo Mia King was named best-on-ground in Launceston's Grand Final triumph over Glenorchy.

In a game played in wet and heavy conditions at UTAS Stadium, Launceston made up for last year's Grand Final loss in the 2.1 (13) to 0.6 (6) triumph.

Launceston did all the damage in the second term, with new North Melbourne draftee Brooke Brown booting a goal alongside teammate Cecilia Cameron.

King, a highly rated junior who played four games in her debut season, was dominant with her contested work in the middle and also lent a helping hand in defence.

NEW HANDS AT THE HELM AFLW coaching changes for 2021

Glenorchy peppered the goals throughout the match, but accuracy ultimately eluded the team, with former Roo Libby Haines named best for the side.

North Melbourne forward Daria Bannister was not on the field on the final siren to celebrate with her Launceston teammates, having suffered a knee injury earlier in the match.

Another injury for Daria Bannister! She is becoming our female version of Taylor Garner

this 2 week induction period starting today seems vague.
Interested to see what it actually entails

Can they all gather as a whole team atm?

Forgot to reply yesterday, slight change of plans, maybe you've already seen this article now:
Non-contact training outside as a whole group has been brought forward by two weeks, thus beginning last night.

hopefully get some content soon with the new players training

So Duffin’s back :thumbsu:

Anyone know if Gilroy will be playing next year?

Indicated she wanted to, but like all Irish-based players (excluding Orla O'Dwyer who is an Oz citizen) they are waiting on DFAT to okay their VISAs, and then being able to get a spot on a plane going to Oz (with Fed Gov currently imposing a weekly cap).

The guy at the club who has taken over the player sponsor program assured me she is and will be working at the Roo Shop again too.

Anyone who wants a chance to meet Aileen should join our AFLW player sponsor program for 2021 (or go to the Roo Shop). Look for the info in the stickies thread. Go Roos!
