Sad to see Simmons struggling so bad after playing such an amazing regular season and a phenomenal series against Miami. He’ll bounce back for sure and I’m sure he’ll use this experience as motivation to go take his game to the next level. Boston are a great team and Stevens is proving himself as the best coach in the league right now. It’s a shame that Kyrie and Hayward are out.

In other NBA news, LeBron James is out of this world. Another crazy game winner today, banking in an off balance floater, never looked like missing either.

Folks the South African adventure for me is 39 days away, 90km the distance from Pietermaritzburg to Durban this year (they alternate every year, next year will start in Durban). Bit worried though about the return journey, including a 17 hour stop in Singapore en route to Adelaide for the Thursday Night game there against Port. Any bright ideas on how to kill the time in Singapore, figuring I'll probably spend time in a transit motel having a kip?

There is a free city tour that you get at the airport. I would recommend to probably get a hotel room somewhere not at the airport, as they are much cheaper in town.

He was incredible. Amazing performance.

Yay for Melbourne Victory, good to hear you were there perro_loco
They are bitching about our goal being off side now though would like to see the view from the other side of the ground. Stiff anyway, we have had plenty of bad decisions against us, so getting one in our favour is just the way it goes.

Perhaps visit Marina Bay Sands hotel and go to the top deck where you can experience the most amazing infinity edge pool with spectacular views over the city. You can buy a day pass and enjoy a swim and the restaurant/cafe, so you don't have to be a hotel guest. Would be a relaxing way to kill a few hours and stretch and de-stress the body after the flight.

Warriors vs Cavs again.

Credit to Rockets for being the first team to take it to the new Warriors. At least they made it interesting, went ice cold at the worst possible moment, lost CP3 at the worst possible moment. Probably need everything to go right if you’re going to best the Warriors.

Warriors in 4 against the Cavs.

It was a pretty one-sided 5 games last year against a much better cavs team.

Warriors in 3. I expect by the 4th game the cavs will die of grief.

Their best chance is that Golden State might want to win the championship at home and they’ll give Cavs game four or something.

Houston showed that you can defend against the Warriors with their ultra versatile, super switching lineup. Maybe their might be enough in that that the Warriors won’t be unstoppable next season.

Interesting view of taking it to the Warriors. Game 6 was the biggest capitulation after being in front in NBA history. Game 7 wasn’t much better.

Hard to see Warriors losing from here but it would be particularly enjoyable if they did. Curry and Durant are Brady level for being unlikeable.

Since no one else has been able to take more than one game off the Warriors since they bright in Durant, taking them to seven is a pretty decent effort.

Went cold at a bad time and lost Chris Paul at a worse time. Paul was really their Plan B should they go cold from three so they really couldn't switch from their system when things started going bad.

I can’t argue they took them further and to their credit won one away but can’t really say they took it to GSW after the final two games broke all sorts of records for the wrong reasons. Even the Dogs would look down on the accuracy in game 7 - how is it possible to go 1 from 28 on 3ptrs on your home court?

As a Rockets fan, I knew it was all over as soon as CP3 did the hammy. Hurts man. Don’t even care about Cavs vs Warriors. I care about LeBron’s next move.

What game 7 were you watching? If CP3 was playing, Ariza doesn't go 0/12 and they don't miss 27 in a row from 3, they are likely facing off (and winning) in the finals

The one that was actually played. Not a hypothetical involving players sitting on the bench.

The one where Rockets gave up the biggest half time lead in game 7 by a home team in history. The one where they lost the 3rd quarter by 18 points and missed all 14 3pt attempts.

With America’s gun laws? So soon after a recent mass shooting?

You’re a braver man than I, Fronk.
If someone wants to kill they have a 1001 ways of doing it. I wouldn't be antmore concerned than going out in Melbourne. What the hell is wrong with these kids anyway, too much pampering and prescription drugs I think.

Draymond Green is the most hateable campaigner in sport.

I can’t believe how stupid JR Smith is. Why was Ty Lue not sprinting onto the court to call a timeout at the end?

Hell of a game though, shame the Warriors won because Cleveland really needed to win any game that’s close if they are going to make a series of it. Golden State are going to have a few blowouts this series. LeBron was just amazing, not sure I’ve seen anything like it before. He is really at his peak right now.

Steph Curry was out of this world as well. Kevin Durant went missing again but Curry put them on his back when they needed him most.
