MJ still ahead but LeBron is definitely getting very close, it's almost on par for me. A lot will depend on how LeBron goes this Finals. Another series like the last 2 years and it's hard to argue he's not on par. Then it depends on how long LeBron plays.

Looking objectively, LeBron is ahead of Jordan in a lot of areas of advanced metrics.

Haha but yeah I agree with you to a degree. I don't think it was a total meltdown as such but he definitely didn't deliver on that occasion. It's also a fallacy that Jordan always delivered in similar situations.

I'm 14/14 so far in my playoff bracket but it hasn't exactly been a difficult playoffs to predict. I find it hard to see the Warriors losing with their lineup, 12-0 these playoffs (with a Kawhi asterisk) and Klay Thompson has been ice cold. I'll be barracking for the Cavs like I assume most will be, really don't want to see Durant win a ring after last year. Tipping the Warriors in 5 or 6.

Surely it's a completely different game from back then though? GS might struggle against those tough defenses back then but the 90's teams wouldn't get away with as much now.

The league was far better back them with several teams capable of making the finals every year.

It's hard to compare eras obviously but it seemed a far more even comp back then and MJ still dominated against the best.

If he didn't retire for two years he most likely wins 8 titles and there is no discussion at all about who is the GOAT

Cavs have absolutely zero chance of getting the title this year.

Klay has been off for some time but the ball movement of the whole side (Klay & Draymond especially) is something to behold.

Golden State mostly drafted a team that had a 73 win season, only really big players from outside of that model were Durant and Iguodala.

Yeah it's interesting, take Durant out of that side and in not sure they win or at least a lot closer. He's possibly the best player in the league right now. But then again I'm openly a LeBron fan and the opposite for Curry (even if he is obviously a star - watched him live this season and he tore a side apart in a quarter).

As a neutral it really is like being stuck between a rock and a hard place. Both Cleveland and the Warriors have contributed heavily to the state NBA is currently in and it makes it difficult to root for either of them.
