Melbourne could fall into a heap with some of their off-field issues.
Well off field issues derailed our seasons in 2018/2019 so it will be interesting to see what happens.

Sheehan wants the Brownlow returned/reinstated to Jobe
Sheehan blames the club and a lack of support from AFL administration for what he believes is a miscarriage of justice
Seems a bit like giving Lance Armstrong his Tour de France medals back to me
They want to give the medal back to a proven drug cheat, who was on the drugs when he won the medal?
Even by AFL standards, this is amateur stuff.
Only in the AFL can you get banned for making the AFL look bad… but systematic drug cheats get to play the victim.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport found them guilty.I read his article this morning as the rag was on a lunch table at work
He claims that Essendon players never were proven to have taken PEDs - is that legit or how is he spinning that narrative??

Exactly. And that is why he doesn't deserve his Brownlow back.Never looked so quick or fit. Not even close.
& now we have to put up with him as THE most boring special commentator in the history of the AFL.Exactly. And that is why he doesn't deserve his Brownlow back.
Vic media recall him playing like that every season though.

We as Australians have a piss poor record when. It comes to our own drug cheats. Media's always gone soft. What is it with the AFL Media's refusal to condemn drug cheating?
They weren't proven to be drug cheats. However its a doping violation regardless to inject things into your body and keep no records. The going into bat for Job smacks of more the boys club elite once again deciding the rules dont apply to them and drugs dont matter in football if it targets the wrong club.
Got to remember, the boys club elite wanted to absolutely condemn the crows for the camp multiple times, they kept coming even though the crows passed every investigation the AFL and state government threw at it. But they kept coming. They tried again with Eddies book to chase the club again. However, Essendon whose players were driven blindfolded offsite to a secret location and forced to be injected with 'whatever' is 'that nots drug cheating, its not proven.'
One thing is for certain, Essendon received 35% of the level of punishment an interstate club and its players would have received.
It's not clear to me that Thymosin Beta4 is a performance enhancing drug, albeit a drug prohibited by the sports bodies. They weren't proven to be drug cheats. While that's true, how likely is it that modern drug cheating would be as blatant as using steroids? It's not clear to me that Thymosin Beta4 is a performance enhancing drug, albeit a drug prohibited by the sports bodies.
It is listed as enhancing wound healing, improving blood vessel growth and recovery from ischaemic heart, and reducing liver fibrosis.
I can't see that this is in the same class as steroid performance enhancement, so tarring everyone with the same brush is rather lazy.
Nevertheless, the rules were broken, and punishment should ensue, but we're not talking about Ben Cousins walking on water here.

With the current strict rules it was always going to be something that skirts around the edges, looks to push boundaries and goes for experimental drugs.
It's still attempting to get an unfair advantage and they should be labelled as drug cheats because of it
It should always be Essendon having to prove they weren'tThe standard the media were asking to prove Essendon were cheats was ridiculous.

No thats wrong. I knew tims older brother a while back when we studied together and he was one of the most articulate people and a very smart operator.& now we have to put up with him as THE most boring special commentator in the history of the AFL.
We know why his Dad couldn't coach as the IQ gene isn't high for the Watsons...
Says it all.The Court of Arbitration for Sport found them guilty.
It was just the AFL's Mickey Mouse tribunal which didn't... strange how the result was reversed, as soon as the AFL no longer had control over the decision.
Good for them as he is their best player.Butters had signed for 2 more years taking him to 2026.
He was never leaving when his mate kenny signed on.Where are the posters who claimed that Butters was gone at the end of this contract?
